Winnie learns that the Tuck family drank from the spring on their way to town only to discover that the water is magical and renders the drinker immortal. Meanwhile, a mysterious man is hunting down the Tuck family, in hopes of finding their secret. With their secret soon to be unleashed, the Tuck family must run off, leaving Winnie behind. Winnie is then met with the decision whether she should drink from the spring and become immortal herself. Tuck Everlasting is a story of secrecy and immortality.
