2017 Nhl Draft Black Book

Since 2012, our NHL Draft Black Book raised the standard for NHL Draft Publications. Our 2019 edition of the Black Book features more of the high end NHL Draft coverage you've come to expect from HockeyProspect.com. This year we move to an NHL Team Style NHL Draft List ranking and include Draft Grades and ratings for every 2019 prospect. We also include a Top 31 Prospects Ranking for the 2020 NHL Draft plus 2020 & 2021 player profiles and our Scouts Game Reports

In 2012 our first NHL Draft Black Book raised the standard for NHL Draft Publications. We feel that our 2020 edition of the NHL Draft Black Book is our best work yet. Once again our player profiles this year have draft grades and player ratings. We have ratings for Hockey Sense, Compete, Skill and Skating & a Miscellaneous category which encompasses physical attributes. The ratings are included for all of our 2020 player profiles. We also include the players draft grade and of course, the players ranking. The 2020 NHL Draft Black Book includes profiles for over 320 prospects eligible for the 2020 NHL Draft, plus over 100 profiles for the 2021 NHL Draft and over 50 profiles for the 2022 NHL Draft. Our 2020 NHL Draft Black Book is 590 pages and that includes 135 pages of game reports from our scouts. Our rankings are similar to an NHL team style list. The ranking is for prospects eligible for the 2020 NHL Draft. We also include a Top 32 ranking for the 2021 NHL Draft.

This years NHL Draft Black Book includes profiles of 395 2015 NHL Draft eligible prospects, 175 2016 NHL Draft eligible prospects and 50 2017 NHL Draft eligible prospects. As always, the book also includes a full ranking of our top 210 prospects for the 2015 NHL Draft and a Top 30, plus honourable mentions for the 2016 NHL Draft. The Black Book also includes 200 game reports that were submitted by our scouts from this past season. Also included once gain this year is our popular "quotable" feature. Director of Scouting, Mark Edwards, on the quotes feature, "We kept the quotes in there again this year, we've got great feedback on them in years past.
