We need daily time with God, and we need to remember that God is good and there is good in this world. We need faith in God and hope for the future. We need love because we need to show people God through our love, because our love comes from him. If you are a new believer, nonbeliever, or someone wanting to spend more in the word and with God, I hope you find this devotional a positive reminder of how good God really is and how valuable reading the word of God daily is for your relationship with him. 2

This volume, three separate books in one edition, is a collection of Josef Pieper's famous treatises on the three theological virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love. Each of these treatises was originally published as a separate work over a period of thirty-seven years, and here they are brought together in English for the first time. The first of the three that he wrote, On Hope, was written in 1934 in response to the general feeling of despair of those times. His "philosophical treatise" on Faith was derived from a series of lectures he gave in the late 1950s and early 1960s. His most difficult work, one that he struggled with for years - and almost abandoned - was his work On Love. Pieper now feels that this is the most important book he has written. He discusses not only the theological virtue of caritas-agape, but also of eros, sexuality, and even "love" of music and wine.

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”—1 Corinthians 13:13 Walking by faith and not by sight, Bobby and Sherry Burnette serve as full-time missionaries in Haiti, ministering to the poorest of the poor, spreading the Word of God, and showing Christ’s love by example. They feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, and heal the sick. It has always been a joy, but it hasn’t always been easy. They wake up early each day—usually 4:00 a.m.—to spend time together in prayer and reading God’s Word. Many of the thoughts in this book, Faith, Hope, and Love Devotional: A 90-Day Walk with God, came out of what God taught them during this precious time. Others came later in the day, when God brought back to their hearts and minds the insights He had revealed in the early morning hours. Faith, hope, and love are the three spiritual elements we need in our lives every day. While the lessons Bobby and Sherry present were learned on the mission field, they are true for everyone, everywhere. This is the nature of God’s truth. It works in Haiti, and it will work for you, wherever you are in the world. In this devotional, the Burnettes share their struggles and their triumphs, all the while rejoicing that the Lord is always faithful to His promise to help them as they help others in this land of mountains and beauty, poverty and voodoo. Join them in ninety days of prayer and Scripture readings as they share touching and humorous stories from their lives and the gospel.

Christians have long loved devotionals, but today’s Christians are also developing a strong love for fiction. They want to read stories about characters they can relate to, who experience situations similar to their own, and learn from those examples how to live out their faith. For them, life lessons are more easily absorbed this way. 21 Days of Grace fits all of these needs. It is a collection of engaging, inspirational short fiction stories written by new, intermediate, and well-known authors including Angela Hunt, Deborah Raney, Cindy Woodsmall, Cecil Murphey, Robin Bayne, and more. Like Jesus’ parables, these stories deal with important life issues in a subtle, unpressured manner. And, as Jesus did, the authors follow up with life applications based on the stories, suggesting how the inherent lessons can be applied to the reader’s daily life.
