In de twintiger jaren schreef hij aIs dissertatie een studie over Plato's ideeen omtrent de Staat: Der Gesellschafts- und Staatsbegriff Platons; Auf der Grundlage seiner Ideenlehre entwickelt. 1 Hij promoveerde hiermee summa cum laude bij Othmar Spann in Wenen.
