A Glimpse of the Chosen challenges readers to ponder the Bibles teaching of the doctrine of election. The writer begins by giving a small glimpse into the domain of the absolute holiness of God, his amazing power, his righteousness, and his love. God, who is the ultimate genius, has a divine purpose for everything that occurs in time and space, both good and evil, in order to ultimately reveal the amazing riches of his glory. A Glimpse of the Chosen unfolds a glimpse of Gods work in calling people to him, beginning in the Garden of Eden, continuing throughout history, and ending with the kingdom of Jesus Christ. The writer demonstrates that we are fallen creatures with a distorted knowledge of life. We can take comfort in the fact that no matter how things appear, God is in control and has a purpose for every human being, both saved and lost, that he creates.

Let me tell you how much fun it is to be a book writer! One of my friends recently said to me, I dont even know anyone whos ever READ a book, let alone WRITE one! I was amused. Well you know its really not so hard to write a book. You just talk about what you feel, and organize your thoughts along the way. At some point, as you stay determined to make it happen, the book comes into the world. For me, now having compiled over 30 book-length manuscripts of various topics and subject matter, I have become more and more inclined to share the way I see the world with others along the way. You might call what I like to write about as having to do with personal philosophy, or individual world view. Everyone has a way they see their world; this book is part of how I see mine. It seems that all kinds of people have something to say about what life is and is not. I am like most people, so am no exception. I have come to enjoy giving such opinions and points of view with just about anyone who will listen. I wrote this book, MY WORLD: The First 50 Years, because I wanted to be sure and document the way life appeared to be to me at the half-century mark in my personal growth and evolution. I did it in a way that enables you to read right through it, or, if you prefer, you can take it slowly, over a one-year span of time, and think about the ideas and thoughts carefully. How you read the book is entirely up to you. Ten years earlier I had written a similar book (Earth Dwelling: An Owners Manual for Life) in order to share thoughts about the meaning and purpose of life. It is amazing the difference that ten years can make! I like to think that I am growing! Gee. Could that be? I sure hope so! People from the worlds of philosophy, religion and the popular culture are anxious to share the way they see the world with others. I have a passion to do that also, and so I wrote this book in order to summarize how things in life appeared to me. I could be way off - you decide for youself. At any rate, my world is MY way of seeing life...in YOUR world, you will see it your special way and that is part of the beauty of this life. Each person is free to see it differently, and that is our basic right to do so. I like that. I actually feel so strongly about what I am saying here that I created a web site (which is called HowIseetheworld.com) to talk about and share ideas with others. Take a look at it some time. Thoughts are powerful, and have a tendency to either make you great, or even destroy you before your time. So, think good thoughts! And enjoy the book as well!

A Glimpse of the Christian seeks to clarify the true identity and nature of Christians to a world that has become hazy on this subject. In this study, author Richard J. Dick Hill crafts a clear, simple, and easy-to-understand guide to life and ministries of Christians in todays world. Christians are spiritual people connected to Jesus by the supernatural ministry of Gods Spirit. Eleven chapters offer varied glimpses into elements of the Christians life, including possessions, giftedness, security, works, education, and accountability. Each chapter draws upon wisdom from the Scriptures, illustrations from daily life, and insights from Hills own experiences to explain the chapters topic and to provide a fresh perspective from which you may catch a clear glimpse of the Christians life. Hill also provides an appendix that sketches out a method for memorizing key passages from the Bible. Whether you have recently come to faith in Christ and wonder how God may shape your life in the coming years, or you have journeyed to the point in your Christian discipleship where you seek an unobstructed view of your calling as a Christian, A Glimpse of the Christian provides a no-nonsense, plain-spoken, and faithful explanation of the character and mission God grants to people who follow Jesus Christ.

'Superb - a great book to fuel your wanderlust.' Mark Beaumont 'The ultimate running book, showcasing the ultimate running adventure.' Sean Conway --- In 2019, Nick Butter became the first person to run a marathon in every country on Earth. This is Nick's story of his world record-breaking adventure and the extraordinary people who joined him along the way. On January 6th 2018, Nick Butter tied his laces and stepped out on to an icy pavement in Toronto, where he began to take the first steps of an epic journey that would see him run 196 marathons in every one of the world's 196 countries. Spending almost two years on the road and relying on the kindness of strangers to keep him moving, Nick's odyssey allowed him to travel slowly, on foot, immersing himself in the diverse cultures and customs of his host nations. Running through capital cities and deserts, around islands and through spectacular landscapes, Nick dodges bullets in Guinea-Bissau, crosses battlefields in Syria, survives a wild dog attack in Tunisia and runs around an erupting volcano in Guatemala. Along the way, he is often joined by local supporters and fellow runners, curious children and bemused passers-by. Telling their stories alongside his own, Nick captures the unique spirit of each place he visits and forges a new relationship with the world around him. Running the World captures Nick's journey as he sets three world records and covers over five thousand miles. As he recounts his adventures, he shares his unique perspective on our glorious planet, celebrates the diversity of human experience, and reflects on the overwhelming power of running.
