The first engraving of it of any merit was made while the picture was in Mr. Keck's possession in 1725, but the features were considerably altered, and the dress, instead of the original doublet, was a summer waistcoat, partially open down the front The head was reversed, as was frequently done by engravers at that period in making copies. Among the many copies of the picture was one by Sir Joshua Reynolds, but the whereabouts of it, if it be in existence, was not known.
