Louie Giglio helps you find encouragement, hope, and strength in the midst of any valley as you reject the enemy voices of fear, rage, lust, insecurity, anxiety, despair, temptation, or defeat. Scripture is clear: the Enemy is a liar who will stop at nothing to tempt you into poor decisions and self-defeating mindsets, making you feel afraid, angry, anxious, or defeated. It is all too easy for Satan to weasel his way into a seat at the table intended for only you and your King. But you can fight back. Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table outlines the ways to overcome those lies so you can find peace and security in any challenging circumstance or situation. With the same bold, exciting approach to Scripture as employed in Goliath Must Fall and his other previous works, pastor Louie Giglio examines Psalm 23 in fresh ways, highlighting verse 5: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." You can find freedom from insecurity, temptation, and defeat--if you allow Jesus, the Shepherd, to lead the battle for your mind and heart. This spiritual warfare book for those who are leery of spiritual warfare books will resonate with Louie's core Passion tribe as well as with Christians of all ages who want to live a triumphant life in God.

A Table before me: The Meditating Christian reveals God as the Living God who has spoken to His people definitively through Jesus Christ and who continues to speak daily through His Word. God prepares a table before us each day, where He sits with us and feeds us His Word. The secret of meditation is that we do not have to force our entry into God's Word. God delights to speak to all who will listen. He only requires that we listen, by opening ourselves to Him as He speaks, by focusing on the words that we read, and by allowing His Spirit to plant those words in our innermost being, just as a farmer plants seeds in the springtime. The result will be a transformed prayer life, deeper communion with God and a new joy in participating in God's redeeming work throughout the world. The Korean edition of this book is a best seller in Korea, and translation has begun on the Chinese edition. David and Ellen Ross are Presbyterians who have served as missionaries to the Korean people for over forty-five years. Co-founders of Youth With A Mission Korea, and The Antioch Institute for International Ministries, their present ministry includes teaching and writing, providing pastoral care for long-term, cross-cultural missionaries, and ministry to North Korea. David is the author of two books on North Korea as well as numerous Bible study manuals.

In the beginning, this book was about some of the things I had experienced in my life, relationship issues, and that sort of stuff. I procrastinated over time, possibly, divinely, and inadvertently. Anyway, as I matured over the years, after receiving the inspiration for the title, things happened. I changed. My thinking was naturally transformed. It was not changed overnight; I began to notice how the years and the experiences I lived through had now come together. I began to be more philosophical and less tangible-minded. I now sought to understand more about the spiritual aspects of life and how I could extract lessons learned in order to become a better human being. I began to realize that life was more than just the things I could see or feel; it was more dependent on the wisdom I had acquired and the choices I had made. The major determining factor was choices and, most of the time, how the choices that were made a long time ago, were currently affecting my life. Later, I began to be more inquisitive about life and its driving forces. One of the main forces I recognized had to do with matters concerning information that was imparted to me by my grandmother and my personal belief in God. I became more interested and involved in the powerful, intangible aspects of life. I have had several awakenings and sometimes supernatural experiences with God. I would later realize that God was more than some symbolic gesture or reference, or a presence that is much more than the ordinary “pomp and circumstance” entity people gave their time to on Sunday mornings. I recognized that God was and is real.

All who attended the conference at which these addresses were delivered were immediately conscious that they were present at a unique occasion...Not only was the speaker a gifted preacher and an able expositor of the Word of God; prior to his call to the Christian ministry he had been a shepherd for 12 years. And he had taken Psalm 23 as his theme! Expectations were aroused. And they were not to be disappointed. It is a great joy to see these addresses...appearing in print. Christian doctrine must be translated into Christian experience, else it is arid and barren. That is the challenge, but also the comforting possibility, that the author holds before us in these addresses...all who read cannot but be helped and inspired.

In this second volume, Dr. Cook provides a series of articles that are part of his morning meditations on Scripture. Meditation, in the biblical sense, is an intentional filling of the mind with divine viewpoint; specifically, God’s Word. The purpose is to saturate our thinking with Scripture so that it will permeate all aspects of our reasoning and guide us into God’s will. These articles touch on subjects such as soteriology, grace, worship, righteous living, and character studies of people such as Saul and David. The overall intent of the book is to inform and inspire believers to live righteously before God.
