The eighth campaign of the Cross Language Evaluation Forum (CLEF) for - ropean languages was held from January to September 2007. There were seven distinct evaluation tracks in CLEF 2007, designed to test the performance of a wide range of multilingual information access systems or system components. CLEF is by now an established international evaluation initiative and, in 2007, 81 groups from all over the world submitted results for one or more of the di?erent evaluation tracks. Full details regarding the design of the tracks, the methodologies used for evaluation, and the results obtained by the participants can be found in the di?erent sections of these proceedings. As always the results of the campaign were reported and discussed at the annual workshop, held in Budapest, Hungary, 19-21 September, immediately following the eleventh European Conference on Digital Libraries. The workshop playsanimportantrolebyprovidingtheopportunityforallthe groupsthathave participated in the evaluation campaign to get together to compare approaches and exchange ideas.

Recent technological progress in computer science, Web technologies, and the constantly evolving information available on the Internet has drastically changed the landscape of search and access to information. Current search engines employ advanced techniques involving machine learning, social networks, and semantic analysis. Next Generation Search Engines: Advanced Models for Information Retrieval is intended for scientists and decision-makers who wish to gain working knowledge about search in order to evaluate available solutions and to dialogue with software and data providers. This book constitutes the proceedings of the 37th European Conference on IR Research, ECIR 2015, held in Vienna, Austria, in March/April 2015. The 44 full papers, 41 poster papers and 7 demonstrations presented together with 3 keynotes in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 305 submissions. The focus of the papers were on following topics: aggregated search and diversity, classification, cross-lingual and discourse, efficiency, evaluation, event mining and summarisation, information extraction, recommender systems, semantic and graph-based models, sentiment and opinion, social media, specific search tasks, temporal models and features, topic and document models, user behavior and reproducible IR.

This two-volume set LNCS 13185 and 13186 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 44th European Conference on IR Research, ECIR 2022, held in April 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 35 full papers presented together with 11 reproducibility papers, 13 CLEF lab descriptions papers, 12 doctoral consortium papers, 5 workshop abstracts, and 4 tutorials abstracts were carefully reviewed and selected from 395 submissions.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the 8th Workshop of the Cross-Language Evaluation Forum, CLEF 2007, held in Budapest, Hungary, September 2007. The revised and extended papers were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the book. There are 115 contributions in total and an introduction. The seven distrinct evaluation tracks in CLEF 2007, are designed to test the performance of a wide range of multilingual information access systems or system components.
