This book will explore a new approach to airport planning that better captures the complexities and velocity of change in our contemporary world. This is especially pertinent since airports will need to come back better from the Covid-19 pandemic. The ongoing deregulation and liberalization of worldwide air transport markets confronts airport planners with an increasingly problematic context. On the one hand, the capital intensive, large-scale and complex airport investments need a detailed, long/medium-term planning of airport infrastructure.
