The aim of the ore deposit descriptions in this report is to provide a geological description for those currently producing and past producing gold mines active in the Timmins area at the end of the 20th century. Information provided for the deposits includes location, ownership, claims, regional- and property-scale geological setting, structural geology, and economic geology (including - where available - production history, orebody description, mining methods, mine development, and diamond drilling). The following deposits are described: Dome Mine, Bell Creek Mine, Detour Lake Mine, Hoyle Pond Mine, Marlhill Mine, Nighthawk Mine, Owl Creek Mine, and Pamour Mine.

This report summarizes data on some 400 uranium and/or thorium deposits of northern Ontario, arranged first by district and then by township. Descriptions of deposits are arranged separately from descriptions of miscellaneous occurrences.
