Gurdon Wattles was born 12 May 1855 in Richford, Tioga, New York. He added the middle name Wallace as an adult. His parents were James Wattles and Betsy Ann Whitton. He married Jennie Leete 20 October 1882 in Iowa. They had one son who died at three years of age. They moved to Omaha in 1892. They adopted two girls. Jennie died 25 May 1916. He married Julia Vance 26 June 1918 in Estes Park, Colorado. They had one son. Includes genealogical information about his ancestors.
