Understanding Consumer Choice shows how attempts to relate consumers' attitudes and actions have implicitly incorporated measures of the very variables at the heart of a situational theory of consumer choice. These are the buyer's consumption history and the physical and social setting in which consumer behaviour occurs. The book explores the capacity of the resulting model to explain consumer behaviour in retail and consumption situations, and to elucidate brand choice. The result is a novel interrogation of cognitive and behavioural perspectives, an overarching philosophy for consumer research.

This work offers an investigation of sports-related anxiety research, including studies from both Eastern and Western Europe. International authorities have combined chapters yo fous on three key areas of interest: theory and assessment, anxiety and performance, and anxiety control in sports.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Artificial General Intelligence, AGI 2015, held in Berlin, Germany in July 2015. The 41 papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 72 submissions. The AGI conference series has played and continues to play, a significant role in this resurgence of research on artificial intelligence in the deeper, original sense of the term of “artificial intelligence”. The conferences encourage interdisciplinary research based on different understandings of intelligence and exploring different approaches. Recent legislative trends in the United States, the United Kingdom, and many other countries now require accurate and efficient assessment of environmental aesthetics. Most of this assessment is currently undertaken using traditional design judgment, but when the powers of the government are used to enforce policy the scope of the aesthetic evaluation requires consideration of questions such as `What concepts will aesthetic decision makers need to perform their intended function?', `How can they obtain the information they need?', and `What is currently known about environmental aesthetics?'. This book answers those questions with a solid, logical theory of environmental aesthetics, empirical evidence covering 277 studies, 41,000 respondents and 12,000 stimuli, and seven case histories showing how the theory can be applied to actual aesthetic decisions. The book proposes a unified protocol for measuring the magnitude of aesthetic impacts. It also applies that protocol to 94 specific findings which span a very wide range of issues.
