CD and DVD Forensics will take the reader through all facets of handling, examining, and processing CD and DVD evidence for computer forensics. At a time where data forensics is becoming a major part of law enforcement and prosecution in the public sector, and corporate and system security in the private sector, the interest in this subject has just begun to blossom. CD and DVD Forensics is a how to book that will give the reader tools to be able to open CDs and DVDs in an effort to identify evidence of a crime. These tools can be applied in both the public and private sectors. Armed with this information, law enforcement, corporate security, and private investigators will be able to be more effective in their evidence related tasks. To accomplish this the book is divided into four basic parts: (a) CD and DVD physics dealing with the history, construction and technology of CD and DVD media, (b) file systems present on CDs and DVDs and how these are different from that which is found on hard disks, floppy disks and other media, (c) considerations for handling CD and DVD evidence to both recover the maximum amount of information present on a disc and to do so without destroying or altering the disc in any way, and (d) using the InfinaDyne product CD/DVD Inspector to examine discs in detail and collect evidence. This is the first book addressing using the CD/DVD Inspector product in a hands-on manner with a complete step-by-step guide for examining evidence discs See how to open CD's and DVD'd and extract all the crucial evidence they may contain

This book is the outcome of global dedication for researches at physiological and molecular levels that substantially deals with challenges of ongoing international concern over the abiotic stress research, which as the major environmental factors affects plant growth-development. On the other hand, this book also highlights focused researches of significance on image-based plant phenotyping; phenomics and its application in physiological breeding; trace elements; plant functions; physiological basis of yield variation; medicinal and aromatic plants and so on. The aim is to make stronger the distinctive outcome of conscientious research in some of the very sensitive areas of Plant Physiology-Plant Molecular Physiology/ Molecular Biology that broadly highlights the recent developments and mechanisms underlying plant resilience to changing environments. This book brings collectively much needed twenty-one review articles commendably dealing with challenges of ongoing international concern over the abiotic stresses under changing climate besides vital aspects related to image-based plant phenotyping; phenomics and its application in physiological breeding; trace elements; plant functions; physiological basis of yield variation; medicinal and aromatic plants and so on. Apart from fulfilling the acute need of this kind of select theme by research teams and scientists engaged in various facets of plant sciences research in traditional and agricultural universities, institutes and research laboratories throughout the world, it would be extremely a constructive book for acquiring advanced knowledge by post-graduate and Ph.D. scholars in response to the innovative courses in Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Plant Molecular Physiology, Plant Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, Agronomy, Horticulture, and Botany.

This book is a report of a four-day Symposium on the Biochemistry and Physiology of Visual Pigments, which took place immediately after the VIth International Congress on Photobiology, held in Bochum, Federal Republic of Germany, in August 1972. This meeting, which brought together about 50 investigators of various aspects of the visual process, was devoted to the visual cells of both vertebrates and invertebrates. Whereas the International Symposium on the Biochemistry of the Retina, held at Nij megen, The Netherlands, in 1968, had concentrated on vertebrate photoreceptors, this Symposium dealt with invertebrate photoreceptors as well, so that workers in each field could become acquainted with recent progress in the other area. The papers presented at the Symposium were divided into six main topics, to each of which a half-day session was devoted. The six parts of this book, following the intro ductory lecture, essentially correspond to these sessions. In addition to the invited con tributions, the volume contains a number of short communications by other partici pants and two contributions by invited participants, who were unable to attend. The volume closes, as did the Symposium, with a General Discussion, prepared and moderated by S. L. BONTING, in which an attempt was made to integrate various new findings, and to reconcile certain points of disagreement.
