The purpose of this report is to analyze the meteorological conditions which produced heavy rains over a drought area, to present facts concerning the use of radar in flood forecasting, and to compile and record basic hydrometeorological data for affected areas.

The 1980s saw a whole wave of practical applications of fuzzy theory, mainly in the field of process control, with Japan as pioneer. In the '90s there has been a flood of applications to household electrical appliances, and“fuzzy” has become a high-tech buzz-word in Japan. Since then many countries have followed suit and developed their own fuzzy applications. This book reviews the burgeoning industrial applications of fuzzy theory. The contributors are mostly industrial engineers or research experts in the field. The areas covered include automobiles, home appliances, voice recognition, medical techniques, fuzzy design, process control, space operations and mobile autonomous robots. Very recently the development of fuzzy theory has become intertwined with fields such as neural networks and chaos. This volume also summarizes such trends in an industrial context. This document outlines the set of requirements and guidelines for file and directory placement under the Linux operating system according to those of the FSSTND v2.3 final (January 29, 2004) and also its actual implementation on an arbitrary system. It is meant to be accessible to all members of the Linux community, be distribution independent and is intended discuss the impact of the FSSTND and how it has managed to increase the efficiency of support interoperability of applications, system administration tools, development tools, and scripts as well as greater uniformity of documentation for these systems.
