The list of symbols is alphanumeric & includes such information as the document series symbol, a series title if the document represents a recurrent publication & the dates of the years when a symbol began & ended. The subject index provides topical search by title of series while the corporate name index provides search by the United Nations body responsible for the symbol. If the publication is recurrent, search is by the title of the series. This cumulative list of official document classification symbols also defines & explains all abbreviations & symbols used.
