These poems focus on the important parts of a childs life, especially those of their formative years when their perceptions of life are determined by the love, caring, understanding, and nurture afforded to them by adults such as parents, grandparents, teachers, and caretakers whom they trust and love. About the Author: Sharon Elizabeth Bleasdale-Licht of Holland, Pennsylvania grew up in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, a town in Bucks County, PA. Sharon is married to her husband Jeffrey. She has two children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. From a young age, Sharon has loved to write fictional stories, poetry and verse. Writing song lyrics is also a passion. Sharon is retired from a major newspaper publishing company located in Princeton, New Jersey. After a 28-year career as Management Secretary, Sharon enjoys time devoted to her passion of writing. Sharon has attended classes in Secretarial Science, Psychology, English, Literature and Social Studies at both Rider College and Bucks County Community College. In addition to this book, Sharon has also written Magic Marmalade: A Tale of the Moonlight Fairies and Childhood Travels, a small poetry book for all ages. I was sure I had a good grasp of things and that I understood what "It" was all about. But that is part of the sweet innocence of youth. Now that I am older, I realize that life, in it's infinite splendor and wisdom, is full of twists and turns and surprises. I am no longer so concerned about keeping hold of that certainty I held so tightly to as a child. For I see life as an exciting whirlwind, with lessons to learn and places to see. Some fight against it, and others do not. Some just walk the "middle ground". I choose to be just one of many leaves blowing in her winds, asking my questions along the way and learning what it is to truly live. I have already found some answers in the many truths to be found in dreams, realities, the spirit, and in mans nature. And I have also come to realize that for some questions, their are just no answers.

Life is a journey. Often times and without choice, our actions and interactions within the environments in which we grow, live, work, and play, define our worldviews and shape who we are. Anyone who has faced traumatic events may look for an outlet to share their experiences in the hopes they are not alone in their struggles. In hindsight, however, the realization is that we are all human, and each and every one of us has a unique story to tell.
