We may go through many encounters in life, and in most cases, it will not be good. You may become a target by the enemies’ deceptive ways, trying to distract you from the truth with lies and decoys. In this book, I hope to shed some light on some of those wicked schemes the enemy uses to distract, deceive, and delay what God has in store for you. And to show you that the best way to avoid deception is to put on the full armor of God so you can walk in your divine purpose and prosperity in the kingdom of God.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. John 10:10a NKJV Satan is the god of this world (see 2 Corinthians 4:4 and 1 John 5:19), is the “father of lies” (see John 8:44), and his job description is to “steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” In order to achieve his aims, he most often lies to us and deceives us. Satan often disguises his forces to make them look like natural problems so you’ll fight them with natural weapons. But you cannot fight a spiritual foe with natural weapons but with spiritual weapons, i.e. speaking God’s word to the devil and his demons. Unfortunately satan can disguise himself as an “angel of light,” so it is possible to be deceived by an innocent and apparently correct Christian teaching (see Matthew 24:4, 24:5; Mark 13:5, 13:6; and Luke 21:8). Often these inaccurate or incomplete teachings focus on God’s love and blessings (thus appealing to our flesh and so lead us astray (see Mark 13:22 and 1 Timothy 4:1) and do not mention His greatness, or our need to obey Him and have a reverential fear of Him. This book aims to help reveal satan’s lie and deception strategies and so empower Christians to live the Christian life that God intended. “Great book, interesting and well written based on solid evidence, documented, and not on flights of fancy or fanciful digressions or comforting in a fantastic book where you can find and discover the birth of the religion best known to the world. Through the dialogue structure, the reading is easier even if the terminology is researched and complex. At first glance it may seem pedantic, but you will be fascinated by the events described that so well dot the book.” -- Kalyan Panja , Booktica - Book Reviews

Deceived by Evil was conceived by a dream in a dream. A dream the author had after he’d dreamed of the funeral of a significant friend. And after reflecting on the funeral of many of his friends buried before their time, and all deceived by their own distractions. The dream, Deceived by Evil, is a brief synopsis or description of the damage that can occur when we’re vulnerable to the deceit of distractions that comes at us from a dark place. Most of the time, when we’re young, we are innocent and naïve to the many directions that life can pull us in, whether by bad parenting or many other abuses coming at us from all angles of darkness. This book is mainly about discernment, about being spiritually attuned to the negative forces at play and of a devil who is totally involved, by any means necessary, in the manipulation and orchestration of every chord and note played to the tune of our destruction. And as the book concludes, sometimes we must be ready to sacrifice that thing that looks right and feels good to the touch but deadly to the use. But it’s not necessary for you to have to sacrifice your life, if you learn from the lives that have been sacrificed to evil for your good. So if this book is received in its proper perspective by those who read it, my hope is that they will be able to lessen their chance of being Deceived by Evil.

A bold retelling of the history of lying in medieval and early modern Europe Is it ever acceptable to lie? This question plays a surprisingly important role in the story of Europe's transition from medieval to modern society. According to many historians, Europe became modern when Europeans began to lie—that is, when they began to argue that it is sometimes acceptable to lie. This popular account offers a clear trajectory of historical progression from a medieval world of faith, in which every lie is sinful, to a more worldly early modern society in which lying becomes a permissible strategy for self-defense and self-advancement. Unfortunately, this story is wrong. For medieval and early modern Christians, the problem of the lie was the problem of human existence itself. To ask "Is it ever acceptable to lie?" was to ask how we, as sinners, should live in a fallen world. As it turns out, the answer to that question depended on who did the asking. The Devil Wins uncovers the complicated history of lying from the early days of the Catholic Church to the Enlightenment, revealing the diversity of attitudes about lying by considering the question from the perspectives of five representative voices—the Devil, God, theologians, courtiers, and women. Examining works by Augustine, Bonaventure, Martin Luther, Madeleine de Scudéry, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and a host of others, Dallas G. Denery II shows how the lie, long thought to be the source of worldly corruption, eventually became the very basis of social cohesion and peace.

(excerpt from book)Lie: You need to experience sin in order to understand the negative consequences so that you can warn others.A favorite among the lies Satan whispers, the illusion that sinning will actually aid us in helping others is a trap many fall into. Yet this trap is only a half-truth. While it is true that helping others is a good thing, the deception comes in convincing us that we cannot help others without first succumbing to, and therefore understanding, the sin.In this lie the only ones who could effectively help others overcome their sins would be those who have committed that sin themselves. Yet if this were a reality, then Jesus would not have been able to warn or teach anyone a single thing. Society has no shortage of examples of people who have destroyed their lives through sin - but in the end, it is from the one who had no sin that we can learn the most.--------------------------------------------The Master Deceiver: Understanding Satan's Lies and How to Resist Them is a straightforward guide filled with clear doctrine and tailored tools that will help you develop your personal arsenal in your battles against Satan. Author David Stitt provides specific, customized strategies to help us combat Satan's deceptions, and outlines many of Satan's powerful lies so that you can be prepared to meet them. Let these strategies boost your confidence and help you learn to rely on divine help to triumph over the daily tides of temptation.
