Anna Pigeon, a ranger for the U.S. Park Services, sets off on vacation—an autumn canoe trip in the to the Iron Range in upstate Minnesota. With Anna is her friend Heath, a paraplegic; Heath's fifteen-year-old daughter, Elizabeth; Leah, a wealthy designer of outdoor equipment; and her daughter, Katie, who is thirteen. For Heath and Leah, this is a shakedown cruise to test a new cutting edge line of camping equipment. The equipment, designed by Leah, will make camping and canoeing more accessible to disabled outdoorsmen. On their second night out, Anna goes off on her own for a solo evening float on the Fox River. When she comes back, she finds that four thugs, armed with rifles, pistols, and knives, have taken the two women and their teenaged daughters captive. With limited resources and no access to the outside world, Anna has only two days to rescue them before her friends are either killed or flown out of the country, in Destroyer Angel, the New York Times bestseller by Nevada Barr.

Matthias Reinhard Hoffmann identifies an angelomorphic portrait of Christ in certain passages of Revelation and provides possible reasons for the inclusion of an angelomorphic Christology: Angelomorphic Christology is not regarded as an isolated christological concept. In turn, the author compares angelomorphic Christology with the prominent Lamb Christology of Revelation. A comparison of these concepts reveals that both Lamb and angelomorphic Christology serve the purpose of contrasting different functions of Christ. The functions correspond with the implied perception of Christ by his followers on the one hand and his opponents on the other. Accordingly, Christ appears to be an eschatological juridical figure (described in angelomorphic patterns) to his opposition, while he is perceived as salvific redeemer (in form of the Lamb) by those who believe in him. Such a christological perspective draws on traditions from the Exodus narrative, namely the features of the Passover Lamb and the Destroying Angel. Further, equality between God and Christ is established despite an angelomorphic portrait of Christ: especially those passages describing Christ as the Lamb put him on par with God. But also within visions with an angelomorphic description of Christ, his status as superior to angels and as an equal to God is displayed.

The book of Revelation is meant to be understood or revealed. The word revelation means to reveal, to uncover. But it cannot be understood by a man without the indwelling Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives keys to understanding the book both in Revelation and in other teachings of scripture. The Spirit lets us know when the book was written - by facts presented in the book. That is important in discovering when the fulfillment of the book took place. The Spirit also tells us the Revelation was of things that “must soon take place.” This phrase governs our understanding in the fulfillment of the whole Revelation. Again, the teaching of prophecies were all to be fulfilled within the “generation of Jesus”. These prophecies were to and “must soon take place” in the book. There are seven keys I have followed in understanding the book of Revelation. You can understand the book of revelation also by following the keys the Spirit has left for us. God blesses us in multiple ways in opening His book - the Revelation. May he bless you fully in that effort through his Spirit. May you come to understand his Revelation.

About the Book The present Heaven, of which we all speak, is and will be different from the New Heaven created after the tribulation and the millennium. The New Heaven will be created at the same time as the New Earth and will be for an eternity. Hell, by contrast, was created at the beginning of time as a place of torment and anguish for the habitation of fallen angels and those who reject the Love of God. It is also called The Lake of Fire. In There Is No Sea, each will be described in as much detail as possible according to the Bible. The question will be who will inhabit each and how will each be accessed. About the Author Ray Deaton was born in 1939 and raised during the War years. He left his parents home at the age of eighteen, returning only for brief visits as he traveled to various countries and across this great nation. Deaton was born again at the age of thirty nine when he became the child of The Living GOD. With a minimum knowledge of his new life, Deaton studied the Bible and became convinced of its unerring content. Deaton is first, last and always a Christian. He maintains a membership in a church so he may assemble with believers and hear a word from God.

The Bible is full of monsters: giants, vengeful spirits, and more. If you read closely, you'll see these monsters aren't God's opponents- they are God's entourage. When we examine these strange creatures for what they are, we see how they validate the human experience, living in a world that is unpredictable, unjust, and at times monstrous.
