Deploying a distinctive disaggregative approach to the study of 'religion', this volume shows that spiritual movements with extensive counterfactual beliefs have been much more creative than one might expect. Specifically, Wayne Hudson explores the creativity of six spiritual movements: the Bahá'ís, a Persian movement; Soka Gakkai, a Japanese movement; Ananda Marga and the Brahma Kumaris, two reformed Hindu movements; and two controversial American churches, The Church Universal and Triumphant and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most of these movements have counterintuitive features that have led Western scholars making Enlightenment assumptions to dismiss them as irrational and/or inconsequential. However, this book reveals that these movements have responded to modernity in ways that are creative and practical, resulting in a wide range of social, educational and cultural initiatives. Building on research surrounding the ways in which spiritual movements engage in cultural productions, this book takes the international research in a new direction by exploring the utopian intentionality such cultural productions reveal.

In this book, most of the examples are based on true life incidents. However, it is very difficult to translate the true spirit of a live presentation exactly into words. But, each story and example have been selected after a careful study and certainly convey some clear cut message to the readers. Some stories will speak to you louder than others. Some will have a deeper meaning. Some will make you cry. Some will make you laugh. Some will give you a warm feeling all over. Some may create action, reaction and chain reaction. Some may hit you right between the eyes only with some slight and right reaction. Some views and comments may compel you to think entirely about a new concept and Horizon of life. The views expressed in this book are based on true and real life experiences and also on detailed analytical studies. Further, a careful attempt has been made not to hurt the sentiments of any person irrespective of any caste, creed, gender or religions. However, it is reiterated herein again that if, on the basis of the advice given in the book, any person incurs any loss, the author, publisher and printer would disown and disclaim any liability for any such loss occurring under any circumstances, whatsoever. Readers may take decision and get advice from the book at their own risk, cost and sole discretion. The basic aim of this book is to present the unique ideas, innovative concepts and new thoughts before a common man, which may help him to lead his life peacefully, comfortable and successfully in this materialistic world. In this direction, if the author gets any success even partially in his arduous efforts, it would be an immense help and service to HUMANITY and a great prayer to ALMIGHTY GOD in a true sense.

This is the final volume of this series on "theological dramatic theory" by the great 20th century theologian Balthasar. This series is the second part of Balthasar's trilogy on the good, the beautiful and the true which is his major work. The first series in the trilogy is The Glory of the Lord, and following this Theo-Drama series will be Theo-Logic. In this series "the good" has been the focus. Balthasar maintains that it is in the theater that man attempts a kind of transcendence to observe and to judge his own truth about himself. He sees the phenomenon of theater as a source of fruitfulness for theological reflection on the cosmic drama that involves earth and heaven. This fifth volume is trinitarian, focusing on the mystery of God. He draws heavily on Scripture and many passages from the works of the mystic Adrienne von Spyer. Some of the topics covered include "A Christian Eschotology", "The World is from the Trinity", "Earth moves Heavenward", "The Final Act: A Trinitarian Drama."
