This book describes several modules of the Code Excited Linear Prediction (CELP) algorithm. The authors use the Federal Standard-1016 CELP MATLAB(r) software to describe in detail several functions and parameter computations associated with analysis-by-synthesis linear prediction. The book begins with a description of the basics of linear prediction followed by an overview of the FS-1016 CELP algorithm. Subsequent chapters describe the various modules of the CELP algorithm in detail. In each chapter, an overall functional description of CELP modules is provided along with detailed illustrations of their MATLAB(r) implementation. The Little Data Book on Financial Inclusion 2015 is a pocket edition of the Global Financial Inclusion Database published in 2015 in The Global Findex Database 2014: Measuring Financial Inclusion around the World ? by Asli Demirguc-Kunt, Leora Klapper, Dorothe Singer, and Peter Van Oudheusden (World Bank Policy Research Paper 7255). It provides 41 country-level indicators of financial inclusion summarized for all adults and disaggregated by key demographic characteristics gender, age, income, and rural residence. The book also includes summary pages by region and by income group aggregates. Covering 143 economies, the indicators of financial inclusion measure how people save, borrow, make payments and manage risk.

Moving toward universal access to financial services is within reach, thanks to new technologies, transformative business models, and ambitious reforms. Instruments such as e-money accounts and mobile accounts, along with debit cards and low-cost traditional bank accounts, can significantly increase financial access for those who are excluded. Bringing e-Money to the Poor: Successes and Failures examines the lessons of success from four country case studies of “gazelles†?†•Kenya, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Thailand†•that leapt from limitation to innovation by successfully enabling the deployment of e-money technology. These countries have thereby transformed the landscape of financial access to their poor. In addition, two country case studies (Maldives and the Philippines) yield lessons learned from constraints that stalled e-money deployments.
