Thomas Walker Lewis, son of Nicolas Lewis and Mary Walker, was born in 1763. He married Elizabeth Meriwether, daughter of Nicholas Meriwether and Margaret Douglas. in 1788. They had ten children. He died in 1807 in Missouri. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia and Missouri.

"According to tradition the Lewis family of 'Warner Hall' is descended from the emigrant Robert Lewis, who came [from England] to Virginia in 1635." Descendants lived throughout the United States.
