Excerpt from Genealogy: Records of the Descendant of David Johnson, of Leominster, Mass Wm. Johnson, son of Captain Edward, was born in England, but came to America and settled in Woburn. He became a freeman in 16 5 5. On May 17th, of the same year. He married Esther, daughter of Elder Thos. Wiswall.
