This book of poems is written across three very different yet very related topics, Love, Pain and Hope, three topics which I have hopefully covered as many aspects of as possible. Some of the poems I felt could have fallen under any of the headings but I believe they are in the right place.

From the very first moment Saratu met Bindul, he made her believed that she was more than any other woman he had ever seen in the world. He bathed her with love, bathed her, bathed her and finally drowned her completely into his love. Saratu loves him with the truest love of her heart. As matter-of-factly, they were head over heels in love. They admired each other, they adored each other, they allured each other, they liked each other, they want each other, they need each other, they beseechingly desired each other and they loved each other like politicians with corruptions. They declared their love for each other and not so long they stood in front of an overfilled church congregation to publicly declare their love for each other in a one-in-town society marriage. They swam in their love and lived very, very comfortable and happily in love. Saratu wasn't in need of anything, even sex. Bindul gave her all the practical part of love, the love that was made in heaven for a woman, that kind of love that made her feel as though she was the only EVE with the only ADAM in this modern world and she was wholly dependable on it. Like King Solomon to his wives and concubines, Bindul lavished Saratu with the sweetest lovely words and praises. He gave her all that she needed in life. But when Saratu later discovered that her husband was still madly in love with Jimikat, his primeval girlfriend, things wasn't the same again for her. Their loveliest sex-packed marriage suffered a temporary drought of sex. Saratu first run to her dear friend, Dakmikat for help. Despite doing everything, her husband clung onto Jimikat like a tick to a cow. But at the end, when Bindul brought the two of them together, the problem was solved and Saratu and Jimikat became very, very good friends and lived very happily under the spell of Bindul.

Gari M Joubert is an artist, performer, poet and writer. Book From The Black Box is the first body of his poetry to be published. It is an intimate and searing collection, sometimes tender, sometimes brutal but always exquisitely observed. Spanning near to fourty years, this highly captivating anthology resonates throughout with the essence of the mysteriousness of being and our continued struggle to decode it. The work is but a meagre measure of the body of poetry that Joubert has amassed thus far on his disjointed path.

New York Times bestselling author Judith Michael brings together the magic of East and West in a passionate tale of heart-rending love as vivid and breathless as the pounding energy of Beijing. An American clothing designer and widowed mother of two teenagers, Miranda Graham arrives in China and is immediately overwhelmed by the way of life in this faraway place. Then she meets Yuan Li, son of an American soldier and Chinese mother—and suddenly, two worlds, two cultures, and two hearts collide. As Miranda bravely explores vistas beyond the safe, ordered limits of her own life, she is inexorably drawn to Yuan, a man who embodies all the hardship, dignity, and mystery of China. Their love is an unexpected awakening of body, mind, and spirit—even as the intrusive government and Yuan’s ambitious son threaten their newfound joy, propelling them toward the most shattering choice two lovers can make.

This Anthology is the first in a series which contain “Transcribed Rhymes”. The poems in this collection are “Heard Words”, not unlike the song writer who simply writes down the tune he or she hears, in his or her mind, and the artist who applies paint to the canvas of the picture he or she envisions. These poems were given and received as a window, through which to view and clarify thoughts and moments, regarding experiences of life. The subjects are universal in nature, in that, they are applicable to the vagaries of the lives of the many readers, who are then able to apply the poem's teachings to their own situation. If applied, this teaching window could become a door.
