As soon as she learned to walk Elisabeth Desmond usually had a pencil or crayon and a sheet of paper in her hands. Her favorite gift was a thick pad of drawing paper and a box of crayons. Beloved family members were often the recipients of many gifts of her treasured artwork.Growing up in New England Elisabeth had the opportunity to see the marvelous beauties of the four changes of the seasons. Drawing these sceneries and still - lifes were among her favorite subjects. During her school years she took advantage of every opportunity to learn all she could about art. A large prize-winning picture she painted while in high school still hangs in the hallways of the building for passers-by to admire.When her two children began to talk they generally had something humorous to say. People were always telling Elisabeth to write it down. That is when she discovered that writing was exciting. She finds that every day is an adventure with her daughter and son. Therefore combining her love of art and her newly found excitement for writing seemed the next logical step to take.Elisabeth and her family now reside in central Florida. Where the children daily explore new adventures their mother can write about.

Lake was originally from Ontario, Canada. He was from a large family, which was continually affected with illness. At the age of twenty-one, he became a Methodist minister; however, he chose to enter the business world instead of accepting a church ministry. Lake was a very industrious businessman and started two newspapers before beginning a very successful career in real estate. Early in his career, Lake's wife, whom he deeply loved, fell ill with a life threatening illness. Having a lifetime of suffering and bereavement behind him, he refused to accept this. He took the radical step of taking 'his brother who had been an invalid for 22 years to Chicago see John Alexander Dowie . In a matter of just moments after healing ministers laid their hands on him, he was healed -- he got up and walked out! Next, the Lakes took their 34-year-old sister who was dying from breast cancer. She had been operated on five times and had to be carried on a stretcher. She too was healed!
