God S Grace Is Amazing My Journey Through Poetry

These poems reflect my beliefs and my faith in God. I feel that I have grown stronger in my faith since I began writing this book. Many of the poems are about how we make choices in our daily lives. They show love, compassion and humility, which teach applications for living our faith and being the example God has called each of us to be.

This book captures the essence of my journey to growth and maturity as a humble man who loves and obeys OUR FATHERs WORD, as I prove HIS perfect WILL and walk in accordance to HIS WAYS; it reflects my faith and articulates my love for the living GOD and challenges anyone to question the void within them to love any other. It personifies the complexity of my state of mind as I wonder the face of this Earth seeking to please GOD and I have found myself asking questions about my moments in time that quintessentially embeds choice, strengths, weaknesses, order and faith into the essence of my being.

The poetry reflects her sense of the rhythm and flow of the topic. The form of the poem also is a reflection of its meaning. Each poem is unique on its own merit. Some poems rhyme; some use a recurring line or lines. Most are free verse and have their own musical flow. “The Time Was November” uses rhyme and this recurring line.

"My Personal Journey With Jesus Revealed Through Poetry" includes my personal testimony along with poems I have written since 1999. My personal testimony is about how Jesus walked with me and carried me through the trials and tribulations of the past seventeen years. This includes my salvation experience, my personal encounters with Satan, my time spent in mental hospitals, two times when I could have died, the loss of family and friends, and also how God provided me with a new Christian family and friends who are helping me rebuild my life and showing me how to minister to others. The three sections of poems include personal journey poems, praise and worship poems, and poems about the end times. The reason I am telling my story and being so open and honest is because I want you to know that Jesus is real and that He will save you and walk with you for eternity if you only open up your heart to Him. My name is Brian Whitacre. I was born in 1973. As a child I enjoyed school and played sports, however I didn't know Jesus. My spiritual journey started in 1993. At the age of twenty I began attending a Pentecostal Church where I was drawn to Jesus by the power of love. On April 24, 1994, I got saved as God spoke these words to me "are you willing to give up your secular music for me?" I said yes and God also delivered me from my bad temper and cursing. However, right after I got saved, I came face to face with Satan. This encounter changed the course of my life forever. Because of this encounter I ended up in a maximum security mental hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Since 1994 I have spent many long hours in mental hospitals where Jesus proved He would never leave me.

A Voice for My Soul is a book of inspirational poems and prayers that speaks from the authors soul. The poems and prayers are reflections on Gods grace and faithfulness to his children during all the circumstances in a persons life. Some of the poems declare the glory of God in creation and in the beauty of Jesus and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. God is always present with his people when they face trials and suffering, and he draws especially near to them as they journey through death and dying. Regardless of the circumstances of life, God is always present and close to his children. Man desires to have a real relationship with God and with other people, and God will fulfill his promises and bless all people who truly seek to know Him and to obey him. One of the greatest of these blessings is knowing that there is always hope in this life and in the life to come when a person seeks to love God and submit to his will.

This book of poetry is about my journey. My journey through PTSD, substance abuse, depression and attempted suicide. A story of Gods amazing grace. I hope you with see Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.
