Grandparents Rights

A guide for grandparents seeking information about their legal rights to their grandchildren, including visitation and custody rights. Includes state by state laws, recourse, and sample forms.

Abstract: This publication reports on a hearing held by a subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee on the subject of grandparents' visitation rights. The hearing expressed the sense of the Congress that a uniform state act should be developed and adopted which provides grandparents with adequate rights to petition state courts for privileges to visit their grandchildren following the dissolution (because of divorce, separation, or death) of the marriage of such grandchildren's parents.

Partially as a result of the increase in divorce rates inthe United States, many grandparents turned to the judicialsystem to enforce their rights to access of their grand-children. This pathfinder includes major primary andsecondary sources, as well as computerized research sources.

The first writing came in the early 70s. It happened in a very unusual way. As time passed, more writings continued. The Holy Spirit was and is in charge. Each was given a title. I began to see themes threading through them. Love of God, Praise and Gratitude towards Him were frequent. Forgiveness was also a subject. To date, over 570 writings and poems have come. Some of the writings changed a number of people's lives. My desire is that your life will also be blessed. I continue to be amazed by the Power of God to use the words He gave me through the Power of the Holy Spirit.
