This casebook gathers a collection of ambitious essays about both parts of the novel (1605 and 1615) and also provides a general introduction and a bibliography. The essays range from Ram?n Men?ndez Pidal's seminal study of how Cervantes dealt with chivalric literature to Erich Auerbachs polemical study of Don Quixote as essentially a comic book by studying its mixture of styles, and include Leo Spitzer's masterful probe into the essential ambiguity of the novel through minute linguistic analysis of Cervantes' prose. The book includes pieces by other major Cervantes scholars, such as Manuel Dur?n and Edward C. Riley, as well as younger scholars like Georgina Dopico Black. All these essays ultimately seek to discover that which is peculiarly Cervantean in Don Quixote and why it is considered to be the first modern novel.

Cuéntame is a book with 50 motivating short stories in Spanish with diverse themes of great interest that are educational and entertaining. They include guiding morals to live by, practical and instructive ways to enrich oneself on a personal level, and promote healthy, positive relationships with our fellow man. The stories incite people of all ages to live their lives to the full and benefit from all their experiences.

El objetivo primordial de este Manual de Griego Clásico es crear un método que permita llegar a poder leer al menos un texto griego de nivel medio. Y a esta finalidad general se une la peculiaridad de la enseñanza a distancia, que no entorpece el aprendizaje al estudiante presencial, pero que tiene en cuenta de forma más directa a los no presenciales. A nuestro juicio la sintaxis, con la ayuda del léxico, es la meta principal en la comprensión de un texto, mientras que la morfología aporta las formas pertinentes para que se haga realidad el núcleo sintáctico-semántico de todo texto. En consecuencia, la planificación última de este Manual está determinada básicamente por el estudio progresivo de las estructuras sintácticas. Pero la morfología, en especial la griega dada su no pequeña dificultad, necesita una atención minuciosa simultánea, porque es la guía principal para captar el entramado sintáctico.

In 2018, a conference of the International Association for Neo-Latin Studies took place in Albacete (“Humanity and Nature: Arts and Sciences in Neo-Latin Literature”). This volume publishes the event’s proceedings which deal with a broad range of fields, including literature, history, philology.
