"Handbook for the New Millennium, A Guide for Your Spiritual Growth & Development" is an essential guidebook for navigating today's mass information! It is a must have for those working on a path of self-knowledge, practicing meditation, and developing psychic abilities as a clairvoyant medium or channel. The Handbook discusses the so called "New Age" and delves into: - THE ART OF KNOWING, - THE ROLE OF MEDIUMSHIP, - OUR CURRENT SHIFT, and - MEDITATION. - PRINCIPLE PRACTICES outlines 7 simple steps to help you separate Truth from the unnecessary. "It is our intent with this Handbook to give some useful and simple methods for preserving the integrity of your own growth and understanding." - ALEX ANDERSON AND FRIENDS Preview: The spiritual side of life is calling in this age as it has been ignored for too long by humanity. It was the energy of the last age that did not lend itself well to the unfoldment of the spirit. The age we are currently shifting into will focus in the area of the spiritual evolution of mankind and will link it once again to the realm of science and also of philosophy. For the first time in the history of the Earth, citizens are able to participate in the expansion of understanding sufficient to sift what is the prevailing notion or conditioning of the time from that which is mundane to that which is eternal and universal in nature. Focusing on THE INDIVIDUAL: The resulting loss of freedom and the ability to creatively address the problems of technology and the literal basic needs of masses of population have created great disparity between types of civilization. The erosion of the principal of freedom which is an intrinsic part of the democratic process has led to enormous bureaucracies and financial troubles for the leading countries. These difficulties will not go away until the responsibility of the individual as a part of the whole process has come home to all societies. Focusing on THE ENVIRONMENT: The way must be opened for the psychic and creative part of man to fill in the blanks that are now emerging in the way that we address the environment. This mirror is important because it reflects the inner condition of humanity and shows clearly that there is much to clean up and to change. The reader is presented with precepts and writings that provide a new insights and perspectives on spirituality, healing and our inner world as spiritual beings. "This book uses the wisdom of the ages, our present day knowledge on healing and the mysteries of quantum mechanics to open up a new age of therapeutic practice. This book is meant to empower all of us to become the creation beings we really are. The book shows us how to rediscover our real powers for creation and transformation. Quantum mechanics are proof of what the majority of us have forgotten, we are all angels that have unimaginable abilities--all we have to do is remember how to use them." - Phil Diaz "We have now come to the Age of Aquarius, the celestial cosmic turning of the dawn of a new consciousness. This is thought evolution, spiritual evolution. We are soldiers in a spiritual war and we must choose which side we will make a stand with. Crazy as it sounds, we are choosing a battle between our spirit and our brain, for this is a battle that is won from within, through the actions of the heart, by finding balance." - P. D. Multicultural aspects of psychology have received some attention in the literature in the last decade. A number of texts currently address these significant concerns, for example, Counseling the Culturally Different (Sue & Sue, 2008); Handbook of Multicultural Counseling ( Poterotto et l., 2009); and Handbook of Multicultural Counseling Competencies (Pope-Davis & Coleman, 2005). In their most recent editions, several of these books address more nuanced complexities of diversity, for example, the intersections of gender or social class with race-ethnicity. Meanwhile, other texts have addressed gender issues in psychology (Handbook of Counseling Women, Counseling Men), with some attention paid to racial-ethnic and other diversity concerns. Clearly the progression of scholarship in this field reflects the importance of incorporating multiple aspects of diversity within psychology. However, no book currently exists that fully addresses the complexities of race-ethnicity and gender together. Better understanding of the dual impact of race-ethnicity and gender on psychological functioning may lead to more effective conceptualizations of a number of mental health issues, such as domestic violence, addictions, health-related behaviors and achievement. Exploring the impact of race-ethnicity and gender also may provide a broader understanding of self-in-community, as this affects individuals, families and other social groups and work and career development. Topics of interest may include identity development, worldviews and belief systems, parenting styles, interventions for promoting resilience and persistence and strategies for enhancing more accurate diagnostic and treatment modalities. Today’s world is comprised of multiple and intersecting communities that remain in need of psychological models and interventions that support and promote both individual and collective mental health. We believe that utilizing unidimensional conceptual models (e.g. focusing solely on race-ethnicity or gender) no longer adequately addresses psychological concerns that are dynamic, complex and multi-faceted. The proposed Handbook will focus on timely topics which historically have been under-addressed for a number of diverse populations.
