These proceedings represent the work of researchers participating in the 6th International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ICIE 2018) which is being co-hosted by Georgetown University and George Washington University and is being held at The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) on 5-6 March 2018.

This book investigates the evolving paradigm of creative industries and creative entrepreneurship, and their related economy over time. It explores different stages of the paradigm diffusion in ‘first generation countries’ such as the US, Canada, Australia and Europe, and ‘second generation countries’ in Asia, South America and North Africa in order to identify new trends and their distinctive aspects. By adopting a multidisciplinary approach, the book develops a comprehensive overview of the composite phenomenon of the creative economy and its relationship with entrepreneurship.

There are three types of teacherpreneurs: classroom, business, and consultant teacherpreneurs. Classroom teacherpreneurs inspire and motivate students to be the best they can be using outside resources, business teacherpreneurs teach students to become entrepreneurs, and consultant teacherpreneurs are usually former teachers who own a consulting business and go into schools to assist with improving academics. Each plays an important and different role within the educational system in the United States and one without the other would not assist students in gaining academic success. These individuals are the mainstay of educational systems, and without them, school systems would fail.
