After retirement and a move to Virginia, I found more time to do what I loved. I began to write poems from little notes and ideas I had written down through the years. I was inspired by God's Word, sermons, songs, and devotions. A friend, Emily Wood, encouraged me to put them into a booklet, which I did. Thus began Inspirational Poems. Now, at age ninety, I decided to have them published. I pray that these poems may be a blessing, an encouragement, and an inspiration to those who read them. They are my witness to God and Jesus Christ, my Lord.

Inspirational Poems (Encouragement on Your Path of Life) is a book of poems and short stories to give you encouragement on your path of life. The Lord has already paved and predestined our path before we were born. All of us have a path that we have to take, whether one that we have made on our own, or the path that the Lord has chosen and He has paved for us. He does let us choose to what path will take. Although, the Lord wants us to choose and to stay on our right path, because He doesnt want any hurt or harm to come to us. We are His children and He always wants to protect us. Sometimes, we make our own lives more difficult than they have to be, by our own choosing. The Lord only wants the very best for His children, He even tells us so in His word. This is why we should always study His word and go to Him in prayer when we are not sure of the path that He wants us to take. Then, we will know that we are always on our right path of life that the Lord has already paved and predestined for us, even before our birth.

This book of poems gives an account of her life experiences and recognizes God’s movement throughout through her inspirational poems and sayings. It uplifts and gives a true account of the way things were from her beginnings up until the present. Having encountered a disobedience spirit early on, she believe that one may find some similiarity. It would be understood that others go through the same issues. Learning how to deal with those issues are the key. This book is written in hopes that it will help everyone understand the dynamics of where we are in this day and time and see the importance of taking a true assessment of the way we are living and whether we want to spend eternity with the Lord. This book stresses the importance of living an inspirational life. The book discusses 36 of the best places to find inspirational material, and it shows 155 of my favorite inspirational poems, stories, songs and prayers. I grew up under humble conditions. Since childhood I have used inspirations to live a happy and fulfilling life. It has permitted me to work and to obtain three university degrees without any external financial support, have a very successful 37 year professional career, and a very happy and fulfilling retirement. It permitted me to retire at 60 years old. At the age of 78 years old, I am now looking forward to a new career in book writing with Gods will and inspiration. Everyone needs inspiration to live a happier and more fulfilling life. Inspiration has permitted me to do things that I could not have done otherwise. I can not imagine living a life without inspiration in it. Its a kind of life that I would not want to live. I benefited a lot from writing this book, and I can not wait to have other people read and benefit from the book. In this book I encourage my readers to write their own inspirational books.
