Having soundly defeated the hero Wataru (albeit through a less-than-scrupulous method), Keima has saved Rokuko from being whisked away to the Imperial Capital. It isn't too long though until another hero shows up on his doorstep…one that proves to be even more trouble than the last! But even Keima isn't so lazy that he'll ignore someone harassing his staff. In my attempts to keep my dungeon running without doing any work myself, I ended up becoming a pope on top of being town chief. That must have made me stand out a little too much, because the Tsia Archduke has a quest he wants me personally to do. I was thinking I'd meet him and turn him down, but the reward is information about the Divine Pillow?! Okay, I guess I'll accept it. "Very well," says the Archduke. "I will accept your marriage with my daughter, Maiodore." Wait a second, where'd that come from...? As I face my greatest (?) threat yet, my own kind of dungeon story continues! Why are so many people after me?!

Masuda Keima just wants to sleep. Too bad for him, he's been pulled from comfy sheets into a fantasy dungeon that he's charged to protect. Failing to do so will cost him his life. His only guide on what to do is the personification of the Dungeon Core, Rokuko. But she's a moron who can't even figure out how to get rid of a group of bandits. If Keima ever wants to get some sweet dreams again, he'll have to do all the planning himself!

I’m Keima Masuda, the Dungeon Master, still chasing my dream to live a life without work. Just as we settled that Leona business, Haku piled more work onto us... She wants us to destroy some artificial dungeon plant in the Holy Kingdom, but I just got back from Daide and want to chill at home! What to do, then? “I may have an idea that will neatly solve all of these problems. May I speak?” At Toi's suggestion, who Haku had forced onto me, I decided to go to the Holy Kingdom by possessing a monster's body. Now I can work while still chilling in bed... Wait, Rokuko's coming with me?! This is Volume 14 of my own kind of dungeon story! I guess this is one way of working from home?!

With the bandits gone and Rokuko safe once more, Keima decides it's finally time for a break. But his plans to relax are interrupted when a beautiful woman shows up on his doorstep. This woman isn't just anybody, though; she's the Dungeon Core of the imperial city's famous White Labyrinth, Haku! Displeased that her beloved Rokuko is stuck with such a nuisance of a master, Haku challenges Keima to a dungeon battle. The catch? If he loses, he'll be forced to leave and work for her! Will Keima ever be able to catch a break?!

After claiming victory against Haku in the dungeon battle, Keima invests his winnings in some home improvements. His plan? Build an inn! Naturally, an inn requires capable staff. But before he can make his selection, an especially eager candidate pushes their way to the front! She claims she's a safe bet, but will she be able to put her money where her mouth is? Or has Keima got another headache on his hands? And when will his dream of becoming a dungeon master who never has to work come true?!

With Dragon Suzuki now a permanent fixture in Keima's dungeon (literally), things seem to finally be taking a turn for the peaceful. That is, until Keima is made mayor of the newly established town surrounding the inn! His first order of business -- defeat the wolf-like creature invading his territory. Yet no matter how many golems he throws at it, the beast just keeps on coming! Is this the end for Keima and the Cave of Desire?!
