Sexual Assault in Canada is the first English-language book in almost two decades to assess the state of sexual assault law and legal practice in Canada. Johan Georg Emig was born in Germany on July 13, 1715. He married Maria Elisabeth in Germany around 1735. They had two children in there, the first, Johan Heinrich, was born about 1737, the second, Johan Philip was born about 1741. Johan Georg, with his wife and two young children, took the ship Christian from Rotterdam and arrived in Philadelphia on the September 13, 1749. Georg Emig took the oath of allegiance upon his arrival. Most of the passengers were from the Palatine region or Rhine Valley. Georg built a grist mill on Tohickon Creek in Bucks County outside of Philadelphia. Georg passed the mill down to his son Henry when he died. Henry Emig, son of Henry who was the son of Georg, was also a miller, inherited his father's grist and saw mill on Tohickon Creek in Bucks County.

Cullman County was established in 1877 in large part from the west side of Blount and the east side of Winston counties. Today, the few old cemeteries which existed in those counties in the early days are found within the borders of Cullman. The cemetery listings in this four volume set were conducted by the author beginning in 2003 and ending in early 2006. An attempt was made to personally visit every cemetery in Cullman County and record information from each readable monument. Volume 3 of this series covers alphabetically cemeteries G through M, beginning with the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery and concluding with the Mt. Vernon (West) Baptist Church Cemetery. The volumes are filled with photos of many of the old cemetery sites and notes describing the company and unit of most of the old Civil War era veterans. This set of books is vital to any serious student of Cullman County genealogy and history.

The action begins in 2000 with Louise looking at her past. Then it moves back to 1970, where Louise has everything a contemporary woman could ask for: a loving husband, two children, a beautiful home, a good social life. The family is comfortably off, and while her life is circumscribed by her domestic duties and her involvement with the church, she is content with her lot. Then, she meets Nicholas, and everything changes. While Nicholas makes his attraction to Louise obvious from the outset, he is apparently as conventional as Louise and too inhibited to proceed with more than flirtation and verbal innuendo. The relationship between Louise and Nicholas develops slowly, because of the lack of opportunity, and because Nicholas seems unable to make up his mind what he really wants. When they finally make love, all is not quite as Louise had expected. Nicholas eventually also admits to the secret in his past which Louise has discovered by chance. The story reaches its climax in a night of passion in which Louise, changes her mind, and exults in having finally got the man she loves so much. Finally, the story returns to 2000, where the aftermath of that night is revealed.

William Dixon, son of Henry Dixon and Rose, was born in Ireland. He married Ann Gregg in about 1690. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.
