The year I gave my life to the Lord, I read the biography of Hudson Taylor. It was quite a life. I rejoiced. I said, "So there are great things to do in this Christian life? Great possibilities! So deliverance from sin can be known? So one can possibly shake a whole continent?" I began to say, "If it can be done, then I will do it." I longed to know his secret. I read his books to see what his secret was. The church in Rixheim (France) invited me to teach them during their retreat in July 1989. This book is the substance of the eleven messages that they received during that retreat. Because the messages are here produced from cassette recordings of that retreat, they are not theological discussions, but words from a heart to hearts. The Lord is looking for dependable people to promote into leadership. He is looking for a remnant on whom He can count. Can God take you seriously from the heart? When the Lord Jesus broke the lunch pack of the willing boy, it fed possibly over 20,000 people, men, women and children included. The boy must have been amazed that his small lunch pack could feed such a huge number of people. If you are not broken, you are useful only to yourself. When you are broken, you become useful to amazingly very many people, beyond what you might have ever imagined.
