My Life In A Nutshell

If you are interested in who we are as an individual, what we are doing on this planet, and where we are going as a human race, then you will be interested in the person who gave us the answers in his book entitled Our Ultimate Purpose in Life. My Life in a Nutshell is a brief summary of his life and the fun and frustrations that eventually led to his writing the book as an expression of his fulfi lment need and desire to contribute to the future of mankind. His journey began in 1941 in Germany, where he still managed to have a lot of fun, despite the war and the general shortage of food and housing, which he remembers with a sense of humour reflecting his optimism about life in general. He continues his journey in Australia, where he arrived in 1960 together with his family who were intent on becoming citizens in a country full of opportunities, which they applied themselves to with the best of their ability. At the same time, there was a sense of exploitation by the rich and powerful, which led to many a frustration as the author expected a fair return for a fair days work, which he eventually addressed with a TOP Management Manual. Unfortunately, the management system was not yet ready for his vision of the future, which eventually led to his commitment to the research and development of a connection between a Grand Order of Design and The Human Condition. His journey is one which we can all identify with, regardless of our position in life; after all, to be human is all about: Fun, Frustrations and Fulfi lment

These poems are about my life and trying to keep it together as a mother, wife, business partner, and as a woman coming down with mental illness. This mental illness happened to me at the same age my mom came down with it (around the age of thirty years.) The illness did not allow my mom to work and she became homeless for eight years of my childhood. After years of caring for her when I was a child, now I was in her same shoes and felt the cold breathing down my back as my mom did when she was sent to the woods! Can I hold it together to raise my children? Can I make a living without my childrens father whom left me because I was mentally ill? How can I now care for my children with my illness that could leave them parentless? Oh, how I worry that they will not have the necessities that life requires. But most importantly will they end up with the same illness as I?

This book is a synopsis of many of the personal growth opportunities I have experienced throughout my life. These lessons were at times quite abrupt and yet most often learned and nurtured over long periods of time. My vast array of life experiences from "addict" to National Type 1 Incident Commander with the United States Forest Service provides a unique perspective worth sharing. I try my best to do so in a mildly humorous and engaging fashion with hopes this can be of value to the reader. Each chapter's story and message places emphasis on a specific character attribute with the intent of sharing my growth in that particular area. In doing so I offer the opportunity for others to use any part of this information as they see fit, to enrich their life in a positive way.
