The United States and the rest of the world face the most sophisticated underwater threat by drug smugglers and terrorists by covert NARCO submarines and semi-submersibles. What was only the technological domain of the two major superpowers is now available to anyone with money and a desire to operate an export business of drugs or nuclear terror. Signal Mountain, TN (PRWEB) April 21, 2010 -- The newest privately released book on the US market called, Drug Subs (www.drugsubs.com) will forever change readers' ideas about the safety net of the United States security. www.drugsubs.com According to DrugSubs.com, 30% of all the cocaine in the US worth $21 billion dollars is smuggled in by fiberglass semi submersible fiberglass submarines manufactured deep in the jungles of Columbia. DrugSubs.com reports, North Korea is also supplying drug cartels in Columbia and rouge nations like Iran with deeper operating submarines for drug smuggling and terrorist's missions. "The first terrorist nuclear weapon detonation on United States soil may actually be delivered by a North Korean built submarine or a Columbian built semi-submersible launched by an offshore commercial ship" Dr. Robert Spalding, author of Drug Subs. DrugSubs.com informs the reader that the newly discovered secret fleet of narco submarines were for years nicknamed "Big Foot" by the US NAVY because no one in the military had ever seen one until1997 when one was captured. The book, Drug Subs, written by Dr Robert Spalding is the first factual book in print that describes the history, the current manufacturing process and the future of the clandestine Narco Fleet that now sails world wide with near impunity. This 37,000 word book is pictorially documented with unique photos of this new underwater threat plaguing not only the United States but Europe, Africa and other countries as well. Drug Subs outlines how the next major terrorist attack may very well be by our less protected coastlines of the United States rather than by air attack. You can only get Dr Spalding's books through his online store. This book is about the encounters of Colombian drug smugglers and the Colombian Navy, both in the open seas and along coastlines. Javier Guerrero C. specifically examines the technologies involved in the War on Drugs, such as the narcosubmarines and patrol boats, the knowledge required to transport drugs and the knowledge required to stop the illicit flows. The author presents compelling new evidence for advancing an understanding of technological innovation in antagonist contexts, as well as the symbiotic and co-evolutionary character of the process of technological innovation in the War on Drugs. This book will appeal both to practitioners and scholars interested in the War on Drugs and the production of technologies in outlaw contexts.

The 4th Small Wars Journal—El Centro anthology comes at a pivotal time, roughly a third of the way through the term, for the Enrique Peña Nieto administration in Mexico. The mass kidnapping and execution of 43 rural student teachers in Iguala, Guerrero in late September 2014 has only served to further highlight the corruptive effects of organized crime on the public institutions in that country. In addition, many other states in Latin America are now suffering at the hands of criminal insurgents who are threatening their citizens and challenging their sovereign rights. 2nd Edition. Until now, the underwater craft employed by the World's Special Forces have been known only to a select few. Covert Shores is the first complete and documented insight into the little-known world of the mini-subs, Swimmer Delivery Vehicles (SDVs) and other underwater vehicles used by the U. S. Navy SEALs, Special Boat Service, Spetsnaz and more. Operating under a blanket of secrecy, these craft have remained hidden and unrecorded in a way that no other class of military vehicles has. Covert Shores reveals the craft, units, missions and tactics of this unseen world. Spanning from 1776 to the present day, and covering activities in many countries including US, Great Britain, Italy, Israel, Russia, France, Germany, Yugoslavia and Sweden, this book is filled with tales of the ingenuity, resourcefulness, experimentation and cunning of those involved in the design and operations of these expert craft. A must-read for all military enthusiasts. 274 pages 8.5"x11" full color with over 100 original color illustrations.Foreword by Larry Bond

It can be easy to forget the critical role that maritime transport plays in the global economy, but international maritime transportation is still responsible for around 90% of global trade. Protecting the maritime infrastructure essential for this trade from terrorism is a major concern for the international community. This book originates from the NATO Advanced Research Workshop (ARW) Counter-Terrorism Lessons from Maritime Piracy and Narcotics Interdiction, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in May 2019. Participants in the three-day workshop included policymakers, senior military officers, and academics from NATO member states, international organizations, and two partner nations: Colombia and Israel. Their extensive discussions focused on methods for protecting critical maritime infrastructure, such as ports, supplies, and personnel, from seaborne terrorist attacks. Presentations and roundtables also addressed the human and social factors that contribute to the defense against terrorism in the maritime domain. The book is divided into three sections: organized crime and narcotrafficking; maritime piracy; and terrorism, and aims to bridge the gaps between these three substantive areas of maritime security research. These have remained largely separate areas of research in the past, with the result that valuable maritime security lessons from counter-piracy and counter-narcotics operations have not been fully incorporated into counter-terrorism best practice. The book facilitates the transmission of lessons learned from counter-piracy and counter-narcotic operations to formulate recommendations for best practice and technological innovations to manage maritime terrorism, and will be of interest to all those working in the field.
