The Piedmont Oncology Association and the mid-atlantic Oncology Group became the first regional groups funded as a result of this new initiative. During this year more than patients were entered onto research clinical trials. Added to the patients in followup from previous years, the clini cal trials resources of the oct followed more than patients during the current fiscal year.
