The aim of this publication is to disseminate some of the talks given at the III International Conference on Economic, Business, Financial and Institutional Translation, which took place at the University of Alicante on 27-29 June 2018 and was organised by the University's Department of Translation and Interpreting. Spanish and international researchers, translator trainers, and trainee and professional translators gathered at the conference with the goal, among others, of finding out about new research trends in the field of business and institutional translation. / Esta obra da difusión a varias de las comunicaciones pronunciadas en el III Congreso Internacional de Traducción Económica, Comercial, Financiera e Institucional, celebrado en la Universidad de Alicante los días 27-29 de junio de 2018, y organizado por su Departamento de Traducción e Interpretación. Dicho congreso reunió a diversos investigadores, profesores, estudiantes y profesionales, con el objetivo de, entre otras cosas, conocer las nuevas tendencias de investigación en el ámbito de la traducción económica e institucional.

Today's global markets demand that companies of all sizes look to international markets for potential customers. The successive crises that have taken place in the last decade make the internationalization of companies essential. This situation is further aggravated in the case of SMEs, as surviving only from national markets is becoming increasingly difficult. Indeed, the economic sphere is in constant flux, which demands that companies have a great capacity for adaptation to face the new challenges of an ever more globalized and difficult market. In this context, new forms of business communication are emerging, especially through the web and new technologies. Digital marketing and the dissemination of corporate information have become key processes for the success of companies. Text and Wine: Approaches from terminology and translation collects part of the results of the research project WeinApp: Multilingual System of Information and Winegrowing-Resources (MINECO, Ref. FFI2016-79785-R), carried out by researchers from the universities of Cordoba and Cadiz (Spain), on wine production, the wine sector, and its language and terminology in English, French, German and Spanish. The editors, principal investigators of the project, begin the volume, which contains works on phytopathology, lexical domains and subdomains, wine tourism, agro-legal texts, Indo-European languages, labelling, tasting metaphors, wine and literature, interpretation, wine and medicine, oenological websites, and lexical and morphosyntactic formation around the language of wine.

Written by leading experts in the area, The Routledge Handbook of Spanish Translation Studies brings together original contributions representing a culmination of the extensive research to-date within the field of Spanish Translation Studies. Respecto a su aplicación social, los primeros capítulos tratan la traducción e interpretación como una herramienta esencial que permite superar barreras tanto lingüísticas como culturales en situaciones de emergencia y acceder a derechos fundamentales mediante el empoderamiento de las mujeres en procedimientos de asistencia y atención en contextos de violencia de género. Esta monografía supone una novedad en los estudios de traducción aplicada, ya que describe el trabajo diario de las traductoras y de los traductores responsables de los distintos servicios de traducción en los ámbitos autonómico (Xunta de Galiza, traducción jurada), estatal (Administración de Justicia y Oficina de Interpretación de Lenguas del MAE) y europeo (Comisión Europea). Estos servicios no responden a una selección exhaustiva, sino que son representativos en los ámbitos de actuación citados. Se incluyen ejemplos comentados de los textos que más se traducen, a modo de ejercicios de aplicación.
