Considers. S. 2473, to provide for payments by the Federal Government to states or local taxing units adversely affected by Federal acquisition, ownership, or use of defense production facilities. H.R. 5605, to provide that transfers of real property from Government corporations to other Government agencies shall not operate to remove such real property from local tax rolls.

Considers legislation to authorize Federal payments of taxes, or payments in lieu of taxes, to state and local governments as compensation for loss of revenue due to Federal Government acquisition of local property.
