It is not about giving stock tips; it is about providing knowledge and insight, which will result in empowerment. This book is primarily intended for investors who:- seek a greater understanding of, and control over, their investing activities;- feel lost, intimidated, confused and overwhelmed by financial markets and the mere thought of having to make investing decisions; or- are suspicious of financial advisors, brokers and economic forecasters.

Play to Prosper: The Passive Investor's Game Plan provides step-by-step guidance for investors wishing to implement a passive investing strategy. The passive strategy calls for purchasing low-cost, well-diversified funds spanning major asset classes (including domestic and foreign stocks and bonds). Scientific evidence shows that the vast majority of non-professional investors should adhere to a passive approach. The approach takes a long-term, fee-minimizing perspective and can be implemented with or without a financial advisor's assistance. This is the second book in the Play to Prosper series. While it stands on its own; it is designed to complement the first book, The Small Investor's Survival Guide. The Survival Guide uses game and play analogies to help readers gain a broad understanding of the investing game's playing field and the players who make a living on it.

The grace of God is often referred to as unmerited favor. In fact, the very meaning of grace is favor. In this extraordinary book written at a time when people need God's favor more than ever, Jerry Savelle shows how the favor of God is not only available to the believer, but also promised. Drawing from his own experience and his deep knowledge of the Scriptures, Dr. Savelle explains how to actively walk and grow in divine favor, and by doing so enjoy the practical as well as the supernatural benefits for such a time as this, when many are living in fear and uncertainty. The Favor of God will not just inspire readers. By God's grace and favor, it will empower them.

Is there a single right interpretation for such cultural phenomena as works of literature, visual artworks, works of music, the self, and legal and sacred texts? In these essays, almost all written especially for this volume, twenty leading philosophers pursue different answers to this question by examining the nature of interpretation and its objects and ideals. The fundamental conflict between positions that universally require the ideal of a single admissible interpretation (singularism) and those that allow a multiplicity of some admissible interpretations (multiplism) leads to a host of engrossing questions explored in these essays: Does multiplism invite interpretive anarchy? Can opposing interpretations be jointly defended? Should competition between contending interpretations be understood in terms of (bivalent) truth or (multivalent) reasonableness, appropriateness, aptness, or the like? Is interpretation itself an essentially contested concept? Does interpretive activity seek truth or aim at something else as well? Should one focus on interpretive acts rather than interpretations? Should admissible interpretations be fixed by locating intentions of a historical or hypothetical creator, or neither? What bearing does the fact of the historical situatedness of cultural entities have on their identities? The contributors are Annette Barnes, No&ël Carroll, Stephen Davies, Susan Feagin, Alan Goldman, Charles Guignon, Chhanda Gupta, Garry Hagberg, Michael Krausz, Peter Lamarque, Jerrold Levinson, Joseph Margolis, Rex Martin, Jitendra Mohanty, David Novitz, Philip Percival, Torsten Pettersson, Robert Stecker, Laurent Stern, and Paul Thom.

When God spoke to me about preaching a series of messages on prosperity, I searched the Internet highway for all the books I could find about prosperity. As I searched through the various books online, none of them seemed to line up with what God was sharing with me about prosperity. Even though I did not feel that the books I found via my research were what I was being led to teach, I purchased several of them hoping that there would be something that I had missed while reading the index and the cover. My pastor told me on several occasions that a person should be able to look at the cover of a book and get a good idea whats inside the book.

Most individuals and institutions hold the preponderance of their investments in common stocks, corporate bonds, mutual funds, index funds, muni bonds, money markets, bank CDs, and Treasury securities. But these conventional investments will not do well in a world dominated by corrupt, debt-laden governments and thieving bankers, brokers and middlemen. Finance guru John R. Talbott, prescient predictor of the financial crisis and the housing market crash, offers a new paradigm for the coming economic reality. He shows how the recent housing collapse and global economic crisis left governments of the world with enormous annual operating deficits at a time when the banking system continues to struggle with bad debts and requires additional government guarantees and bailouts. Add the fact that growth is constrained because the first wave of the baby boom is hitting 65 and consumers are still loaded with unsustainable levels of debt, and you have a recipe for an economic catastrophe. In this uncertain atmosphere, Talbott offers clear strategies on what you can do to protect your investments and your family. Among the global dynamics covered are: *the low-wage threat of China and India *the legitimacy of gold investing *the false security of diversification *the risks of sovereign debt . . . and why most economists are missing the boat.
