From the summer of 1972 through 1975, Kenneth Wooden visited correctional facilities in thirty states where juveniles between the ages of five and sixteen were being held. During his research he uncovered an astoundingly high incidence of emotional and physical abuse, torture, and commercial exploitation of the children by their keepers, individuals who received public funds to care for them. After observing the brutal treatment of these youths, a significant number of whom were not criminals but runaways or mentally disabled, Wooden described the conditions in which these children lived in Weeping in the Playtime of Others.

"Meaningful Playtime: A science-based guide for quality play with your child" is an enlightening journey that reveals the profound impact of play on a child's emotional and psychological development. This guide delves into how parents and caregivers can transform everyday playtime into powerful opportunities for growth and bonding. In this book, you will discover how to use play as a tool to help your child process complex emotions, overcome challenges, and express their deepest thoughts and feelings. Through real-life examples such as acting out a typical day at school or using toys to mirror family dynamics, the book demonstrates how simple yet meaningful activities can provide deep insights into your child's evolving world. "Meaningful Playtime" emphasizes that the most enriching experiences don't need to occur in professional settings but can be beautifully orchestrated at home with the involvement of caring and attentive adults. It provides practical strategies for creating play sessions that foster a deeper connection between you and your child, enhancing their resilience and independence. Rather than directing how children should play, this guide supports you in helping them discover their own strength and voice through the joy of play. Whether your aim is to reinforce your bond, support your child's developmental journey, or simply step into their imaginative realms, this book is your essential companion. By transforming play into a powerful catalyst for development and connection, "Meaningful Playtime" invites you to embrace this adventure in playful exploration and deepen the most precious relationship-the one between you and your child. With this book, play becomes not just a pastime, but a gateway to building a resilient, independent, and emotionally intelligent young person.

The 1980s saw an explosion in the use of the domestic video cassette recorder (VCR), arguably the most significant new form of home entertainment technology since television. In Video Playtime Ann Gray investigates what women themselves felt about the VCR, both in terms of the ways these entertainment facilities were used within their households, and what kinds of programmes and films they themselves particularly enjoyed. Ann Gray draws heavily on verbatim quotes from discussions to provide a rich description of different types of household micro-cultures and to give readers more direct access to the women themselves and the ways in which they accounted for their own experience. Video Playtime addresses questions of domestic technology as well as those of taste and cultural preference, particularly in relation to class, addressing the dynamics of power within existing social and cultural relations and thereby setting the analysis within a much wider social context.

Playtime Is Over: The book that is long overdue yet very much needed is finally here. Too often many people live a life that becomes one big lie after another. I have learned by living that it's one thing to lie to other people, but it's a terrible thing to lie to yourself. For many years some people have allowed their life to continue on in this state of "deep sleep," which is destructive not only to themselves but to others as well. This book is not to a race or creed of people, but to a type of people: To people that know that there is more to life than the things that they are seeing and doing. To people who know that there are issues and topics that need to be talked about (yet) not many people seem to want to talk about them. To people that are so fed up with the sexual sins and perversions of these times that they just want for someone to address the topic from a real honest perspective.Well, that is what I am here to do, talk about the sexual sins and perversions that are over running the world we live in. Healthy sexual relationships were designed to be a good thing, performed within the union of marriage between two (consenting) married adults. What we are allowing today in a lot more ways than one is for contamination to settle in. Men and women are leaning to their own understanding and doing (by choice) whatever they are big and bad enough to do. Some people (not all) live their life in silence about a lot of these topics, because they don't have anyone to talk to about them. Nowhere to turn for real, honest conversations about this issue. For the most part we spend time on the surface of these issues. Well, within the pages of this book we will go past the surface and bring some clarity in a lot more areas than not, so consider your realities and know that help is here. So, brace yourself like a woman/man because "playtime is over!"Warning:Once you start reading this book, it will be hard to escape the truths in these writings, so much to the point that you will be challenged to change for the better or remain in the same condition that you were in before you started reading this book. Overall... "The choice is yours." I invite you to read, receive, and reevaluate your life as you know it so that you can live a life free from the things that may be holding you captive, and start living a life that matters even more; not only to you but to others. Life is more than living for the here and now, live for the eternal...come and dine.

Will and Roger are co-stars, in a little independent buddy-movie. There's no reason for them to be engaging in a folie à deux about old classic Cary Grant movies, or fighting a battle about whether Roger will start treating Will like a lady, or Will will begin dressing like one, first. There's no reason. But it's happening anyway. The only question is, how will Will look in skirts?
