Proceeding International Annual Conference On Islamic Economics And Law 2020

The gathering of academics, researchers and practitioners at this momentum provides a new opportunity for the literacy world that is concerned with the halal industry. Recently, the halal industry as a new innovation in Muslim and non-Muslim countries, this dynamic is combined with several studies and literacy, that the potential and challenges of the halal industry in the world can be realized along with technological advances. Indonesia, which is a country with the largest Muslim majority in the world, takes part in guarding and supervising the progress of the halal industry, whose benefits are widely enjoyed by people in the world.

The Annual International Conference on Shi‘i Studies is organised by the Research and Publications Department of The Islamic College, London. The conference aims to provide a broad platform for scholars working in the field of Shi‘i Studies to present their latest research and to explore diverse opinions on Shi‘i thought, practice, and heritage. This book comprises a selection of papers from the sixth conference held on 13 March 2021.

InCEESS is an international conference hosted by Pelita Bangsa University. This conference is arranged to become an annual conference making room for scholars and practitioners in the area of Engineering, ICT, Management, and all research in Social Science and Humanities to share their thoughts, knowledge, and recent researches in the field of study (https://inceess.pelitabangsa.ac.id/).

This is an open access book. The online conference hosted by the State Polytechnic of Malang. This online conference aims (1) to bring together the researchers and practitioners, students, and civil society organization representatives in the scientific forum; (2) to share and to discuss theoretical and practical knowledge about innovation in Management, Business and Economics. Specifically, this conference can be used as a scientific forum for accommodating discussion among researchers in the field of business, management and economics science. The theme is Digital Business Transformation and Information System: The Way Forward.

This is an open access book. In the era of globalization and economic liberalization, the free trade applies and begins to be implemented, such as the Asian Economic Community (AEC), the inflow and outflow of food, beverage, drug and cosmetic products circulating in the world community is increasing rapidly. Indeed, the halal products circulated and traded cannot be confirmed so that they do not give a sense of peace, security, comfort, and are suitable for consumption by Muslim consumers. The circulation of various products on the market, both in the form of finished products and raw materials, especially those sourced from animals, either directly or derived from animals, has made it difficult for the Muslim community to trace the halalness of a product. People are also weak in understanding the ingredients and the production process of a food product. Thus, efforts to provide consumer protection, especially Muslim consumers, are very important and urgent. Therefore, it is the duty of the state to protect its citizens, according to the mandate of the constitution above. With this condition, the need for halal certification is getting stronger considering that Muslim consumers are increasingly critical and need certainty of the halalness of the food products they consume, both in terms of materials and production processes to packaging and distribution. For this reason, halal certification of food, beverage, drug and cosmetic products is very important. Halal certification is a necessity to provide certainty about the halalness of a product so that the rights and interests of Muslim consumers to carry out their religious sharia not to consume non-halal products will be guaranteed. This regulation on the protection of Muslim consumer rights has also been mandated in Law Number 18 of 2012 concerning Food. Furthermore, food safety, quality, nutrition and halal are the rights of Muslim consumers which are protected by law and become a government program in food development to meet the most important basic human needs and their fulfillment is part of the human rights of every Indonesian people.

The 2nd International Conference of Business, Accounting, and Economics (ICBAE) 2020 continued the agenda to bring together researcher, academics, experts and professionals in examining selected theme by applying multidisciplinary approaches. This conference is the second intentional conference held by Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and it is a bi-annual agenda of this faculty. In 2020, this event will be held in 5-6 August at Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The theme of the 2nd ICBAE UMP 2020 is “Economics Strength, Entrepreneurship, and Hospitality for Infinite Creativity Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. It is expected that this event may offer contribution for both academics and practitioners to conduct researches related with Business, Accounting, and Economics Related Studies. Each contributed paper was refereed before being accepted for publication. The double-blind peer reviewed was used in the paper selection.

This is an open access book. This proceeding consists of research presented in ICOSI UMY, on 20-21 July 2022 at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The conference covers the topic of governance, international relations, law, education, humanities, and social sciences. The COVID-19 pandemic first time that occurred in 2019, has brought many changes that constrain all countries to adapt quickly. The crisis has shown vulnerabilities and gaps in several primary systems, including healthcare, social protection, education, value chains, production networks, financial markets, and the ecosystem. One of the efforts that each country can take to rise from the COVID-19 pandemic is through strengthening multilateralism, international solidarity, and global partnerships. Hence, this conference raises the central theme “Strengthening Global Partnership for Resilience.” This theme covers sub-themes that allow prospective scholars to submit their papers for ‘Virtual Conferences’ presentation under the following scopes: Social Sciences, Humanities, Educations, and Religious Studies. Presented papers will also get a chance to be published in our remarkable partner publishers. Through the International Symposium on Social, Humanities, Education, and Religious Studies (ISSHERS) and Asian Conference on Comparative Laws (Asian-COL), we hope that participants will express their innovative and creative ideas to provide benefits and contribute knowledge to strengthen global partnerships among countries. Finally, all 75 papers published in this proceedings are expected not only as research output but can be developed further into prototypes or evidence for policy making.

The proceedings of the Social and Humanities Research Symposium (SoRes) shares ideas, either research results or literature review, on islam, media and education in the digital era. Some recent issues consists of innovative education in the digital era, new media and journalsm, islamic education, human wellbeing, marketing and fintech in terms of islamic perspective, economic welfare, law and ethics. It is expected that the proceedings will give new insights to the knowledge and practice of social and humanities research. Therefore, such parties involved in social and humanities research as academics, practitioners, business leaders, and others will acquire benefits from the contents of the proceedings.
