Is it singing? A church service? All of life? Helping Christians think more theologically about the nature of true worship, Rhythms of Grace shows how the gospel is all about worship and worship is all about the gospel. Mike Cosper ultimately answers the question: What is worship?

I had to keep looking downward because I could not look into his face. As he stepped into the water beside me, I saw the scars on top of his feet. At this time, I realized just who he was and I placed my hands over my face and peeked out from between my fingers. He was carrying a cup and pitcher in his right hand. The pitcher was smooth and shinny with large drops of water covering the surface that was falling to the ground. I saw the scars in his wrist when he leaned over and handed me the cup. He did not say anything to me, but I knew he wanted me to hold the cup so he could pour into it whatever He had in His pitcher. With my head bowed and my eyes looking upward, I lifted the cup. Jesus put his fingers palm up inside the cup pouring the liquid into his palm so the liquid would run off his fingers into my cup. When the cup was filled, I saw it was water so I put the cup to my lips and drank. After finishing three cups of Jesus' water, I handed the empty cup back to Jesus and He spoke these words, "Here you sit in all this salty water and you have nothing to drink." "I truly believe this book will be a conduit for impartation and also deep insight into the alignment of Scripture. Many believers who have been silent will be stirred into sharing their own personal times and experiences with the body of Christ." Christ's divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness. —2 Peter 1:3 Pure Christianity needs no embellishment whatsoever. We find complete sufficiency in Christ and His provision for our needs. But too many Christians have bought in to the notion that all the spiritual resources we gain at the moment of salvation are not adequate to meet the real needs in today's complex world. So they look for something more—an emotionally exciting and self-edifying experience not found in God's Word. This failure to understand the sufficiency of Christ has opened the door to all kinds of worldy influences, causing many modern believers to mix biblical truths with seemingly helpful man-made methods such as mysticism and psychology. As a result, they wallow in a watered-down, pseudo-Christanity that has been drained of its vitality, effectiveness, and security. In this book John MacArthur exposes the main ways Christians have displaced their spiritual resources and explains how to avoid making the same error. It will make you newly aware of how completely God provides—and give you a renewed understanding of what it means to be "complete in Christ."

On December 8, 2017, at 2:30 a.m., a voice woke me up, saying, "Get up and write this down." I woke up with this scripture and wrote it down:Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together let no one separate. (Mark 10:9)I wrote down: "What do I do about Buddy?" and the Holy Spirit replied, "Do you think he is your husband? Lay him on the altar, pray for him, don't move, don't do anything, wait on Me, I will show you a sign. If he is your husband, it will be so because it is predestined."At the time, I didn't understand the clear revelation. All I heard was "Lay him on the altar." It broke my heart, but I knew it was time to walk in complete obedience. With Love to My Future Husband is a journal to a man God revealed to me is my husband. Exactly nine months before I met Buddy, the Lord told me to prepare and position myself. My husband is on his way. Of course, I didn't listen, and when I met this man, I wasn't in the right place, and I couldn't receive him. I take you on my journey of how I gave up a man I could touch and feel for a Man I couldn't see.Throughout my journey, I have learned that in order for me to walk out my assignment on the earth, I have to be whole, complete, and healed. My story shows the value of an intimate relationship with my heavenly Father and how God taught me to listen to and trust the still small voice inside.10

Muslims have always used verses from the Qur'an to support opinions on law, theology, or life in general, but almost no attention has been paid to how the Qur'an presents its own precepts as conclusions proceeding from reasoned arguments. Whether it is a question of God's powers of creation, the rationale for his acts, or how people are to think clearly about their lives and fates, Muslims have so internalized Qur'anic patterns of reasoning that many will assert that the Qur'an appeals first of all to the human powers of intellect. This book provides a new key to both the Qur'an and Islamic intellectual history. Examining Qur'anic argument by form and not content helps readers to discover the significance of passages often ignored by the scholar who compares texts and the believer who focuses upon commandments, as it allows scholars of Qur'anic exegesis, Islamic theology, philosophy, and law to tie their findings in yet another way to the text that Muslims consider the speech of God.
