Report On China Smart Education 2022

This book aims to reflect the digital transformation of Chinese education toward smart education comprehensively and accurately. It is the first systematic summary of the progress of smart education in China. The book believes that smart education is a new education form in the digital era and is essentially distinct from education forms in the industrial era. This new education form is innovative in five dimensions. First is the new core concept. Smart education is not only a concrete action concerning people’s well-being, but also a vital strategy concerning national plans. Through technology empowerment and data drive, it empowers educational reform in all aspects, systematically constructs a new relationship between education and society, provides suitable education for each learner, and makes the aptitude-based teaching that we have been dreaming of for thousands of years a reality. For the first time in history, smart education helps to reach the full alignment between individual development and societal development. Second is the new system structure. Smart education will break through the boundaries of school education, drive the diversified combination of various education types, resources, and elements, promote the collaboration of school, family, and society in education, and build a high-quality, individualized lifelong learning system that is available for anyone anywhere anytime. Third is the new teaching paradigm. Smart education will integrate physical, social, and digital spaces to create new learning scenarios and promote human–technology integration, and cultivate cross-grade, cross-class, and cross-discipline learning communities across time and space to organically combine large-scale education with individualized cultivation. Fourth is the new educational content. Smart education will focus on developing all-round education, establishing digital knowledge graphs based on systematic logics of knowledge points, and innovating content presentation methods to make learning a wonderful experience and help learners develop higher-order thinking skills, comprehensive innovation capability, and lifelong learning ability. Fifth is the new education governance. With data governance at the core and digital intelligence technology as the driver, smart education will boost the holistic reengineering of education administration and business processes and enhance the modernization of the education governance system and governance capacity. This book is intended for teachers, education administrators, education policymakers, education researchers, and parents concerned about education innovation and development, as well as people from all walks of life who have aspirations for the education industry. It can also serve as a reference for international organizations and education research institutions of all countries to promote the joint exploration of the development path of smart education and create a better future for the world’s mutual development through educational reform.

This book focuses on the development of smart education in China and some countries of Central and Eastern Europe. A brief discussion on the idea of smart education was given in the introduction chapter, followed by a series of national smart education profiles of eleven countries. In detail, the profile starts with an overview of ICT in Education or smart education in the country and policies of ICT in Education or smart education. Some key features of smart education in each country were discussed with examples of best practices. The profile ends with a description of trends of smart education in the country. Based on the information above, the final chapter presents an analysis among the eleven countries with six major features they presented and concluded the book with suggestions on advancing smart education by three points.

This book provides an insight into the complex entanglements between African countries and India, China, and South Korea from multidisciplinary perspectives connecting approaches from cultural, anthropological, literary, and music studies and art history. The three parts present a regional focus, namely Africa-India, Africa-South Korea, and Africa-China while the single contributions speak to each other and offer complementary insights. At the same time, the chapters also link across the regional realms as they deal with similar topics, such as travelling music genres. In part I, for Pombo material culture is the starting point to investigate the connections between the islands of the Indian Ocean and India by questioning the construction of memory. It highlights various aspects of the multilayered history of connections between Africa, the islands, and India. Part II gathers contributions that are complimentary to each other and therefore contribute to the understanding of the complex entanglements in area studies. Part III (Africa-South Korea) explores the impact of African-American arts and artists on South Korea's popular culture as well as the changing perception of artists of African descent in visual popular culture. It shows the impact of Korean content in South Africa. Ute Fendler holds the chair of Romance and Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of Bayreuth. She is the deputy spokesperson of the Cluster of Excellence "Africa Multiple. Her research interests cover literature and film cultures of the Caribbean, West Africa, the Indian Ocean, and South America. Yongkyu Chang is a professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea and teaches in the Division of African Studies and Graduate School of International Area Studies. He earned his Ph.D. in Anthropology at KwaZulu-Natal University in South Africa and researched various social and cultural issues across Africa. He has expertise in African belief systems and currently working on a project exploring spirit possession in Zanzibar.

This book enriches the understanding of regional smart education in China and promotes sharing of smart education case studies in China and abroad. It presents 46 case studies selected from a total of 644 case studies collected nationwide in China. These selected case studies focus on regional construction, research findings, and solutions. The case studies on regional construction mainly focus on the sustainable development mechanism of regional smart education. The research findings case studies showcase research results produced by research teams and individuals, which involve theories, models, technologies, practical investigations, or international comparisons related to smart education. Lastly, the solution case studies are technical solutions provided by enterprises for the development of smart education, which include application scenarios, methods, and effects in regions or schools around smart educational equipment, platforms, networks, tools, resources, or integrated solutions.

The Management Science Informatization and Economic Innovation Development Conference is a leading conference held annually. It aims at building an academic platform for the communication and academic exchange among participants from various fields related to management science informatization and economic innovation development. Here, scholars, experts, and researchers are welcomed to share their research progress and inspirations. It is a great opportunity to promote academic communication and collaboration worldwide. This volume contains the papers presented at the 4th Management Science Informatization and Economic Innovation Development Conference (MSIEID 2022), held during December 9th-11th, 2022 in Chongqing, China (virtual event). For the safety concern of all participants under nowadays situation, we decided to hold it as a virtual conference which is also effective and convenient for academic exchange and communication. Everyone interested in these fields were welcomed to join the online conference and to give comments and raise questions to the speeches and presentations.

This volume contains the papers presented at the 2nd International Conference on Internet Technology and Educational Informatization (ITEI 2022), held during December 23th-25th, 2023 in Harbin, China. Today, the rapid development in Internet and education technology poses new challenges to scientists that requires innovative approach and methodology or eventually new educational theories. Internet technology is the prerequisite for educational informatization to be realized. The specific Conference topics include: Artificial Intelligence in Education; User Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction; Distance Education for Computers; Computer Application in Social and Behavioural Sciences; Pedagogy Enhancement with E-Learning; Accessibility to Disabled Users; etc. Also, the Conference is intended to give students and research groups the opportunity to learn more about Internet Technology and Educational Informatization as an important tool in their applications and development. Five talks were invited keynote speakers given by Pun Chi Man (University of Macau, China), Yongjun Feng (Shaanxi Normal University, China), Philippe Fournier-Viger (Shenzhen University, China), Rafidah Md Noor (Universiti Malaya, Malaysia) and Khe Foom HEW (The University of Hong Kong, China). Titles included Privacy Protection in Video Live Streaming, Research of Education Metaverse and Metaverse Education——Take E-Course Explosion as the Center, Advances and Challenges for the Discovery of Interesting Patterns in Network and Educational Data, The Rise of Mobile and Internet Technology in Higher Education and Remote Learning, and Engaging Students in Online Learning Activities Using Chatbots.

This book presents 28 practical case studies in detail and 49 case studies in brief. The collection of these case studies focuses on one or more aspects of exploration and practice on the following topics: smart campus and smart classroom, resource construction and sharing, new teaching mode, comprehensive quality evaluation of students, teacher professional development, application of teaching platform and tool, innovative application of online learning space, collaborative education, and school management and services. The selection and evaluation criteria of the case studies on school practice mainly include concept and implementation, effectiveness and characteristics, innovation and demonstration, and expression and structure. This book helps readers gain a rich understanding of the diverse innovative implementation of smart education in Chinese schools and inspires smart education development in schools in other countries.
