First published in 1998.This is Volume XIV of the eighteen in the Sociology of Work and Organization series and which is an investigation of the developments of combination in the distributive trades, with special emphasis upon wartime development, looking at a new form monopolist organisation in Britain which was initially a report to the Fabian Society in 1942

This guide lists the national industry associations that have a significant number of distribution companies as members; specifies directories that list retailers, wholesalers and/or distributors in Canada by type of goods; and identifies the sources of retail and wholesale data in Canada. An annex contains the addresses and telephone numbers of the publishers of the directories and periodicals.
