Season S Meetings

The poem "Meeting of the Seasons" conveys a philosophical message of an ultimate victory of youth and life over decay and death, employing universal metaphorical characters of the seasons: summer, autumn, winter, and spring--depicted as four powerful women. The seasons represent different stages in any life cycle. The poem asserts that even though winter, summer, and autumn are all powerful and beautiful, and their powers should be acknowledged. Spring does something revolutionary and vital. Spring is the season that awakens nature from its winter sleep, reviving and rejuvenating all living things on earth. Itis the most inspiring season. Within the poem, spring is representative of youth in one's life, and, therefore, is the strongest and most victorious of the four seasons. This poem is intended for children ages eight to fourteen and is accompanied by original-colored illustrations.

Seasons in the Sun is the memoir of a college student/athlete in the mid-1970's. Bill Hauser played quarterback at Ohio's Wittenberg University, one of the top small-college football teams in America, and for one of the most successful coaches in the game. This book takes the reader through the ups and downs of competition and the life-lessons learned from that experience. But it is not all about football. The author's enjoyment of music of the period is woven throughout the book with popular songs of the time serving as chapter titles. If you remember the 1970's the music, the events of the time and the college experience you should enjoy this book. If you are a fan of college football, particularly small-college football, you likely will enjoy the intimate look at what the game was like in the 70s. Younger readers might also find the contrast in student life today and back in the 70s interesting and amusing. And the lessons learned and training received on the gridiron are as relevant in the present as they were back then.

At first, I thought I finally got over all of those life chapters while writing. But somewhere inside of me I wasn’t healed from all of that at all. I don’t feel the same anymore. Is It because I finally realized That I’ve been living for others All this time And not for myself..? Was I living for others and felt happy? Did I not live for myself all this time? It feels like a withdrawal symptom. How long will this last? I want to feel again... Do I have to live for myself for that? But no one has ever taught me how to live. How to love me. I learned how to love others. I learned how to live with others. For others. To make them happy, made me happy. I never learned how to live and love myself. Is that why I’m feeling weird? Because I want to make myself happy? Is that so? I don’t feel the same anymore I don’t feel different either So, what is this feeling? Is this even a feeling? I don’t even know anymore. Is it because of the people I have lived for? For someone like me they’d choose not to die for? Have I lost myself by gaining you?
