September And All Through The Year Enhanced Ebook

Our September activity book has been prepared to help teachers of lower elementary grades start their school year in a positive manner. The ideas included can be used throughout the school year. With these ideas and activities, we hope to make the child more aware of his or her environment and culture, and in doing so, enhance learning. Included are coloring pages, bulletin board ideas, Recipes A to Z that use each letter of the alphabet, vocabulary words, basic math and cut-outs.

(1871—1929) The Age of Progress covers the latter decades of the 19th century and the early years of the 20th. Building on the advances of the industrial revolution, this "post-revolutionary" period is similarly defined by remarkable technological and industrial innovation. An era of firsts—steel bridges, sewing machines, bicycles, typewriters, radios, automobiles, airplanes, electric light bulbs, the telephone, photography, and the first motion picture—the Age of Progress gave birth to unprecedented modes of productivity, transportation, and communication. Thomas Alva Edison, Wilbur and Orville Wright, and Charles Darwin are among the historic figures discussed. Special emphasis is given to the sociology of industrial advancement—most notably the development of leisure. Our January activity book has been prepared to help teachers of lower elementary grades in teaching a unit on the five senses. At the conclusion of this unit, children will have a greater sense of self-awareness. Included are worksheets, recipes, and art ideas.

A page focusing on some aspect of life in the time is also included.
