This subject-catalogue has been compiled in such a form that the working-copy in the Library can be press-marked, and reference to the author-catalogue for the corresponding period may thus be avoided. The headings accord as far as possible With those of the Subject Index up to 1895 3 and, Where a change has been made, a cross reference from the old to the new heading has been given.
