Synergy and Commonality - 'the key to success' is a timeless, universal, motivational and self-improvement book that aim to inspire and uplift you. Growing up, my parents (now in blessed memory) often told stories to highlight the points that they were making. Much of the documented history was passed down verbally for thousands of years in the form of storytelling, teaching each successive generation the secrets to overcoming challenges. This book takes a similar approach. It explores the power of synergy and commonality between people and how we can support each other to find opportunities for success. Almost all great personalities like athletes as an example have one thing in common - they invest a significant portion of their ti me and energy practicing and perfecting their skills. It is through the training process that they grow stronger while they explore and understand their limits. Each obstacle presents an opportunity for them to re-assess their efforts and refine their approach to overcoming barriers. It is through this effort that they begin to unlock hidden talents within themselves. However, despite all their hard work and effort, one thing is true. The greatest athletes in the world were unable to achieve dominance in their chosen field without the guidance of a coach, who is filled with the practical experience, expertise, and lessons learned over time to help take the individual to the next level. This book aims to be just that. There is nothing new under the sun. Since the dawn of time, man has attempted to be better at something and was met with one of two conclusions, failure or success. Over the last eight years, the author, has tediously studied and documented examples from those who have achieved significant success and from those who have failed and thoughtfully extracted practical examples to help you grow personally and professionally, as this book distills the key lessons for you for success. You can call this book the "Moses" of modern day, transforming the way you think. It will lead you through life's bridges, and provide solutions needed for survival. The recipe for success is the same regardless of your profession, gender, nationality, parents, social class or the school attended; we all need one another to push forward. The author determined the power of diversity and how it exists purposely to complete a story in your life. This is for people seeking practical wisdom in this modern world, or at crossroads and do not know what to do professionally or personally, or need the inspiration and encouragement to sail in life. This book is your coach, use it wisely! And if you benefit from it, share it; it's the human thing to do! Evans Kwesi Mensah, also known as 'Selorm' is a happy father of three amazing boys, as well as blessed with a strong and supportive wife whom he describes as his 'boss'. He is also honoree of the prestigious Washington D.C. 'Made Man' Global Leadership Award for 2018. It is a global multi -tiered institution designed purposely to honor the extraordinary accomplishments of notable influencers for their leadership and lifetime achievement in their respective fields of work, social impact and consciousness, and significant contributions to communities at large.

Guided by the concept of synergy, this groundbreaking collection explores alternatives in the areas of counseling, education, and community health and development. Synergy refers to the process of two or more things coming together to create a new, greater, and often-unexpected whole. When synergy exists, formerly scarce resources can expand and become renewable and accessible to all. Drawing upon the diverse cultural experiences of Aboriginal groups in North America and around the world, these compelling narratives provide practical insights into the emergence of synergy and obstacles to its existence. Synergy, Healing and Empowerment offers invaluable guidance in the pursuit of a just and equitable society.

Synergy discusses a general problem in biology: The lack of an adequate language for formulating biologically specific problems. Written for an inquisitive reader who is not necessarily a professional in the area of movement studies, this book describes the recent progress in the control and coordination of human movement. The book begins with a brief history of movement studies and reviews the current central controversies in the area of control of movements with an emphasis on the equilibrium-point hypothesis. An operational definition of synergy is introduced and a method of analysis of synergies is described based on the uncontrolled manifold hypothesis. Further this method is used to characterize synergies in a variety of tasks including such common motor tasks as standing, pointing, reaching, standing-up, and manipulation of hand-held objects. Applications of this method to movements by persons with neurological disorders, persons with atypical development and healthy elderly persons are illustrated, as well as changes in motor synergies with practice. Possible neurophysiological mechanisms of synergies are also discussed with the focus on such conspicuous structures as the spinal cord, the cerebellum, the basal ganglia, and the cortex of the large hemispheres. A variety of models are discussed based on different computational and neurophysiological principles. Possible applications of the introduced definition of synergies to other areas such as perception and language are discussed.

Cultural forces govern a synergistic relationship among information institutions that shapes their roles collectively and individually. Cultural synergy is the combination of perception- and behavior-shaping knowledge within, between, and among groups. Our hyperlinked era makes information-sharing among institutions critically important for scholarship as well as for the advancement of humankind. Information institutions are those that have, or share in, the mission to preserve, conserve, and disseminate information objects and their informative content. A central idea is the notion of social epistemology that information institutions arise culturally from social forces of the cultures they inhabit, and that their purpose is to disseminate that culture. All information institutions are alike in critical ways. Intersecting lines of cultural mission are trajectories for synergy for allowing us to perceive the universe of information institutions as interconnected and evolving and moving forward in distinct ways for the improvement of the condition of humankind through the building up of its knowledge base and of its information-sharing processes. This book is an exploration of the cultural synergy that can be realized by seeing commonalities among information institutions (sometimes also called cultural heritage institutions): museums, libraries, and archives. The hyperlinked era of the Semantic Web makes information sharing among institutions critically important for scholarship as well as the advancement of mankind. The book addresses the origins of cultural information institutions, the history of the professions that run them, and the social imperative of information organization as a catalyst for semantic synergy.

The new M&A bible. Few actions can change the value of a company—and its competitive future—as quickly and dramatically as an acquisition. Yet most companies fail to create shareholder value from these deals, and in many cases they destroy it. It doesn't have to be this way. In The Synergy Solution, Deloitte's Mark Sirower and Jeff Weirens show acquirers how to develop and execute an M&A strategy—end to end—that not only avoids the pitfalls that so many companies fall into but also creates real, long-term shareholder value. This strategy includes how to: Become a prepared "always on" acquirer Test the investment thesis and DCF valuation of a deal Plan for a successful Announcement Day, and properly communicate synergy promises to investors and other stakeholders Realize those promised synergies through integration planning and post-close execution Manage change and build a new, combined organization Sirower and Weirens provide invaluable background to those considering M&A, laying out the issues they have to consider, how to analyze them, and how to plan and execute the deal effectively. They also show those who have already started the process of M&A how to maximize their chances of success. There's an art and a science to getting mergers and acquisitions right, and this powerful book provides the insights and strategies acquirers need to find success at every stage of an often complex and perilous process.

This book addresses synergy management, which poses an important challenge for firms, advisors and practitioners involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Synergy plays a key role in M&A contexts, both in the decision-making process and, subsequently, in the integration phase. However, despite the fact that synergy value is commonly regarded as one of the key success factors in M&A, research shows that firms generally fail to achieve the expected synergy. The extant literature is characterized by a lack of comprehensive models of synergy management: the assessment of synergy value remains a “black box” for scholars and practitioners alike. The authors provide a comprehensive framework for synergy management by integrating findings from prior research and various disciplines. The framework highlights the main dimensions of synergy management in mergers and acquisitions, common pitfalls, and new models and tools for avoiding them. As such, the book enriches the M&A literature, offers new insights for scholars, and provides valuable guidelines for practitioners involved in synergy management.
