Thank You Father

We all need to know we are loved unconditionally. That there is Someone who will always be there for us and see us through the tough times life brings. When we learn we have a Heavenly Father who wants the BEST for our life we can experience a life of His peace and joy.

Harvey doesn't know what to get his father for Father's Day. It's especially hard when his older sisters and brother seem so sure that their presents are his favorites. Laurie Ann gives him a tie--every year! And Martin always gives him a box of nails. Nadine says Dad loves golf balls. How do they know he likes these presents so much? Because every year Dad gives them each a hug and says, "Thank you." And they say, "You're welcome. "The night before Father's Day, Harvey remembers all of the nice things his dad helped him with that week. He picks up a crayon and starts to draw. And when Harvey gives his dad his present, it's Harvey who has said, "Thank you." And it's his Dad who responds, "You're welcome."

Where do we go when our life on earth has ended? The Bible paints a wonderful picture of what Heaven is like. We can be thankful that our loved ones who know Jesus are free to live in His love, peace and joy forever. Thank God for His gift of Eternal Life with Him. Groppi and the Milwaukee NAACP Youth Council/Commandos who unselfishly put their lives on line and made a significant difference in making Milwaukees history one that changed the livelihood for all living beings. Specifically, in the book: Asante Sana, Thank You Father James E. Groppi, the author, who was one of the original founders of the Milwaukee NAACP Youth Council in 1964, poetically responds to some of the famous quotes of Father Groppi and the Milwaukee NAACP Youth Council members while they experienced life- threatening issues with racial discrimination in Milwaukee during the 1960s. Thank You, Father God, for Chamba and Maxx By: Maris B. Spiers This story is about love, devotion, and never-ending loyalty—two dogs, Chamba and Maxx, that came into their lives in two very different ways. Chamba was a loving, caring, placid Black Lab/German Shepherd mix whom, after suffering abuse at the hands of her former owners, found a way to free herself from her chains and run to their home, where she found love and acceptance. And Maxx was a Cockapoo she was determined to adopt. During a two-year geographical separation, they became best friends. These two dogs brought unconditional love, laughter, and tears to their family. Their passion for adventure led to quirky exploits and escapades. In the end, the family’s love and devotion to Chamba and Maxx didn’t match the enduring loyalty they had for one another. Their love for each other literally spanned two worlds the last night Maxx was with them.
