The Adventures Of Patty Cat And Kittle

What do bouncing, biting, unemployable sheep dogs, sniping spiders, irritated ants, and getting-under-everyone’s-skin, Cousin Fred (addicted to catnip and trouble), plus Billy-Bom-Tom-Cat all have in common? They’re the ones Patty-Cat and Kittle, two adventurous little kittens, meet and deal with, and sometimes it’s not easy! Patty-Cat and Kittle came to live with Angel at 112 Liver Lane, and life is far from dull. Two sheep dogs, Hal and Sam, come snarling down the street, snapping at each other and when Kittle tries to stop them, they turn on her. She suggests they could be nicer to each other, but alas, peacemakers are never appreciated. Off they go, snarling and biting, hoping to fight Hector the goat. Cousin Fred comes for a visit and disrupts the whole household. Nothing he does turns out right. He spills gingerbread batter all over the kitchen, breaks things, disappears and refuses to do chores. Fred meets a disreputable ruffian called Billy-Bom-Tom-Cat who leads him to a catnip café. Before he is totally beat up, Kittle comes to the rescue and escorts him home. But Fred finds music, banging on the piano, and finally is sent to music school.

Why are the kittens warned about Grants Wood? The goblins started the trouble. From their viewpoint, anyone entering Grants Wood was fair game. But tell that to Mr. Billy-Bom-Tom-Cat, and later to Chester... It all started with the ice festival. Patty-Cat and Kittle, who lived with their mother, Angel, at 112 Liver Lane, and their friends, Chester and Susie went to the Ice Festival. It was held each year on the meadow next to Grants Wood, where a pond had been frozen over and where ice bat-ball was played. Colorful booths with games of chance and food items were displayed. While the kittens were there they saw Mr.-Billy-Bom-Tom-Cat being escorted to the edge of the meadow, who then slowly entered the woods. When the kittens heard that fairies were also to be found there, but never seen, the four kittens went exploring Grants Wood. Unfortunately Chester was captured by hostile goblins, but the fairies came to the rescue. Two rambunctious and irresponsible sheep dogs, a nasty black widow spider, the talented Cousin Fred, now in music school, other friends and families of the four kittens all come and go and play a part in the lives of all those who live in Katville. What can go wrong on a luxurious yacht? Ordinarily nothing, but Patty-Cat and Kittle manage to get themselves into the usual complicated situations and then they need to be dug out. Patty-Cat and Kittle have become good friends with Billy-Bom-Tom who in turn is a very good friend of the Duchess of Manx. She owns a production of a musical comedy, now between engagements, so several of the cast and their friends have been invited on a two week cruise, sailing to the Isle of Manx and back. Chester has been included as he will be doing some reporting for the Daily Howl, where he works part time. Fred, Al, and Susie, all cast members are along, plus dancers Pumpkin and Grilly who keep following Billy-Bom-Tom, much to Susie's displeasure. The weather turns nasty, the yacht is being tossed up, down and sideways and many of the passengers are sick. Meanwhile some cat fish pirates from the Isle of Manx plan to rob the yacht of its fish. However, the crew are not really into their jobs: some are allergic to fish, others, are tired of fish and want meat. Some just don't like to work, and to mix things up even more, the two sheep dogs, Hal and Sam, are on board, and a feisty Big=Bad-Momma-Cat, tries to take over the cat pirates. There are mixups everywhere. Please join the cats, kittens, dogs, and cat fish pirates for a lively sail on the high seas.

Who could ever imagine that a perfectly innocent sleigh ride, a thank- you gift to his friends from Billy-Bom-Tom would turn out so disastrously! Patty-Cat, her sister, Kittle, and their friends, Chester and Susie, went sledding on Old Man George's hill. Several of their friends were there, including Billy-Bom-Tom who invited the four kittens on a sleigh ride. There would be food and hot drinks and just generally an evening of fun. Cousin Fred, who attended Music school, came to visit Patty-Cat and Kittle for the weekend. And the kittens all went ice skating on the pond at Grants Wood. Which ended in a fierce snowball battle. The next evening Patty-Cat, Kittle, and Fred were joined by Chester and Susie and they all climbed into the sleigh with Billy-Bom-Tom. The sleigh was driven by Polski. The snow was falling gently as they rode through the dark and silent streets They sang as the sleigh went gliding through the country, when suddenly they were confronted by a large, threatening troll. The pony, Willibilly, terrorized, raced away, leaving the upset sleigh. The occupants were dumped on the snow, cold, scared, but unhurt. They finally made friends with the troll who, trying to be helpful, led them to the Snow Queen's castle, where disaster struck.
